Seven of the ten P5CG spots are clinched with the other three to be decided by one game each this weekend. In two of the three to be determined, it is between the two teams playing.

SEC:

  • UGA vs LSU
B12:
  • OU vs Baylor
ACC:
  • Clemson vs
  • UVA/VaTech winner
P12:
  • Oregon vs
  • Utah if they beat Colorado or
  • USC if Colorado beats Utah
B1G:
  • Ohio State vs
  • UW/MN winner

VaTech is playing pretty well, but the game is at UVA if it matters.  VT lost to ND by one point.  I guess they are favored here.

Utah looks to be in, but a loss is of course possible there too.

If LSU had UGA's defense, or vice versa, you'd have Ohio State.

As it sits right now, Ohio State should be the #1 team in the CFP rankings.

I agree, OSU is the most balanced team out there right now.  Their offense is on a par with LSU's I think, and their defense is on a par with Georgia's (give or take).

Yep, OSU cleared their 2nd tough hurdle.

Common opponents, one trend is obvious:

UGA @ Vandy 30-6
LSU @ Vandy 66-38

LSU Florida 42-28
UGA-Florida  24-17 (neutral site)

LSU - Auburn  23-20
UGA @ Auburn  21-14

UGA - A&M  - 19-13
LSU- A&M - TBD

It is possible to have zero common opponents, four is the maximum possible.

Odd that the Trojans are "idle" this week.

Crazy how Justin Fuentes turned the season around.  Yes, the division is awful, but he looked like dead man walking in September.  Guys were transferring, team was awful.

IMO UCLA should ditch the sky blue for the classic powder blue they use to wear.Back when Wendell Tyler and the Bruins got revenge on the Buckeyes after the '75 season and beat them by almost the exact same score

And all of a sudden the future looks pretty bright in Blacksburg.  They only have five total seniors on this year’s team and only one who starts.  I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of a team that had that few number of seniors on the team.

that is young
