Heading to an outdoor bar/restaurant where one of my favorite acoustic bands is playing.  Going to be over 110 degrees and I will smoke a couple of cigars.  Should be a happy day.

I don't enjoy a cigar as much when it's really hot
didn't have one on the back 9 yesterday for that reason

I was happy that I filled the Vette with gas and rolled over 4,000 miles

Smoked a Montecristo Churchill that was fantastic

I just did a live ride on Peloton for my 600th ride total. The instructor Emma Lovewell called out my leaderboard name for the milestone. Of course she was calling out the first half of longer names for milestones, so it was "buhbye, 600!" rather than "buhbyebeergut, 600!" :57:

Limited out on Halibut in about an hour this morning.   That was fun for the four of us fishing.  We then caught 7 salmon in about an hour too.

I had the pool to myself, again today, swam a bit.  There were two ladies sunning themselves, and no, they weren't all that attractive.  I can't really "get" the idea of lying down in the sun for an hour or more to get a tan.  I lie down on a towel for 15 minutes to mostly dry off.  It's boring.

The other thing about "sun bathing" is how folks want to be by a pool or the beach when they could just go outside somewhere, or in our case, up to the common area on the roof.  The pool is in full view of the elevator room, so everyone checks you out.

I picked my first two tomatoes yesterday, they were very tasty.  Growing them on the deck.  Have several more coming in a few.

I have some Bell peppers coming along also.

it's 66 degrees this morning, slept well with the windows open last night, cooling the house before this afternoon's expected high of 88.

I had no alcohol last night, so I slept well, 7 hours, didn't get up in between.  My weekday no booze effort is doing pretty well, I need to extend it a bit.  I'm not losing weight.

I don't feel any "need" to drink when I don't, but if I have "one glass", it all starts up, spiraling down.

not sure cutting alcohol is a sure fire weight loss solution, but it doesn't hurt

Yeah, it isn't that much of a factor I'm learning.  My kid told me the pounds would melt away.  I have not adjusted my diet much at all, and I like nuts as a snack.  Nuts are loaded with calories.  I'm also "working out" as best I can, I swim some nearly every day.  I think basically what took 40 years to add doesn't go away in 40 weeks.
