My recommendation-- become fabulously wealthy, buy a nice big sailing yacht, and then hire out the captaining/sailing to someone else. :)

Several Czech style lagers, I like it.  If the weather is like it is here, I'd order one of the Czech pilsners.  If it were a little cooler, I'd get the Czech dark lager.

For food I'd be trying the bulgogi steak tacos.

it's 79 degrees, sunny and no wind

I started with the Czech Dark(very good) then Revival Stout - Imperial / Double Pastry 14% ABV(extremely good), they were out of the Nuremberg Style Red Lager, so another Czech Dark.  Finished with a High Point Pils Pilsner - Czech / Bohemian 5.2% ABV with my wings.

Had the WINDY CITY BEEF  Italian Braised Beef, Provolone, Giardiniera, Au Jus. (good for Iowa) Side salad was very good, started with the Brined Chicken Wings, Celery & Carrots (very tender and good)

So, my wife invited over some neighbors, I thought it was last night, but it's tonight.  Whatever, She picked up a tenderloin at Costco and I already seasoned it, which is fine.  She was talking about having beef tacos with the leftovers and I thought "I trained her pretty good."

I'm still debating how to cook the steak.  I cut it into halves because she wants her steak blu rare, rarer than most folks including me.  It's a lot easier to cook it in the oven with the T probe than on the grill.  One option is sear it on the grill and transfer it to the oven, another option it turn on broil in the oven for a few and then cook it.

I really enjoyed Jimbo's boat on Lake Michigan.
Could go below to mix a drink or whatever needed attention
Maybe I should buy another lotto ticket?
I believe CDawg and GopherRock also liked it. And Gator. Can't forget Gator. And SkiUMah98. And Burny.

My friend in Sturgeon Bay sold his boat just after we visited, so we got a ride in that one also.  My cousins here used to have boats on Lake Lanier, obviously a different thing, but they enjoyed them apparently.

There isn't one in my future though.

CDawg saw that boat when it was a few weeks old.

I'd sear on the grill 1st - that's a bout all the wife's steak would need

I think I will do this and transfer it and cook her piece to 120°F and the rest to 130°F.

My grill is a small electric Weber, it does reasonably well.  My wife insists on keeping it covered, which to me is a waste of effort, she wants the cover fully secured and I am lazy and dislike unhooking all the hooky things.  So, I don't use it much.  She also wants it "clean" which to me is a large waste of effort beyond knocking off grungies.

We recently had a referendum on adding gas grills to the pool deck, we voted against it, and the no vote won.

mine is gas and sits in my attached garage off my kitchen, never has a cover, and only the grates get cleaned

A boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into

Buddy of mine in Austin has a boat that makes him gobs of money.

I don't have his stamina for no days off.  He works a full-time job and only does this on Saturdays and Sundays, I think.  Between the bookings and then keeping it clean, he basically works all weekend.

I brew my own beer. I cure and smoke and slice my own bacon. Sure, it'd be easier to buy Miller Lite and store-bought bacon. But what's the fun in that?
