Well, no.

He's one of the depth RB's on my fantasy team that I drafted for cheap in the hopes he clears up his legal crap and becomes the lead back!

Do you follow this? The Cooper Vortex(Darren Schaeffer) or Bruce Smith of The Mountain News or Ryan Burns (D.B. Cooper Sleuth)??? And others - it gets interesting

No but the DB Cooper story has managed to stay in the media for decades. The hotel explosion didn’t even make it INTO the 80’s.

DB Cooper appears to be some sort of mystery at this point. The hotel bombing seems to be an open and shut case.

Don't  start following the DBC story there are so many enticing suspects and gripping facts/findings surrounding them. That's why it's called the Cooper Vortex it sucks in readers/folowers and spits them out along with their theories. Alot of learned folks have chimed in with interesting evidence but there is always a fly in the ointment.

From what I've gathered the FBI agents who 1st responded mostly believed that DBC had indeed survived. Over the next 2-3 days there were no buzzards, crows or birds of prey circling around any one area - a tell tale sign. But at that time from 1968-1972 there were like 130 skyjackings in the USA but none that had gotten away or weren't solved. It was like one skjack every 2 & half weeks. And to tell that to a nation wide audience would provoke more would be robber bandits.

So theFeds pushed the narrative that he augered in somewhere or hit the Columbia River that averages a mile wide and is six miles wide at he mouth and estuary(from what I've read).Maybe he hit Lake Merwin or the other side of the damn and into the Lewis River. I think that's what happened that he was swept out into the Pacific with the chute and harnesses pulling him under in the current. Many however surmise that's a misconception.

Crazy suspects  facts and stories surrounding the case. Once involved then it's a page turner like those entraced with certain shows that they binge watch - it's easy to do in this case. Think Breaking Bad,only in this case he turns out to be a gentleman bandit that beat the sytem and hoodwinked the Feds. The Last of the Master Outlaws and a folk hero and the greatest of the who done its :017:. I'd buy him a Yuengling

The inaugural Masters Tournament was held on March 22, 1934, under its original name, the Augusta National Invitational Tournament. While co-founder Clifford Roberts advocated early on for the name “The Masters,” Bobby Jones resisted, believing it sounded overly self-important. It would take several years before the now-iconic name was officially adopted.

Many of the foundational decisions made in those early days continue to define the tournament’s distinctive character. These included adopting a four-day stroke-play format of 18 holes each day rather than the then-common practice of 36 holes on the third day. The organizers also eliminated qualifying rounds, introduced roped fairways, and restricted access to the playing area solely to players and their caddies. To enhance the spectator experience, complimentary pairing sheets and informational booklets were distributed, while efforts were made to limit commercialization in any form.

These thoughtful measures helped establish the Masters not just as a championship but as a tradition defined by integrity, simplicity, and timeless appeal.

I guess that is a tee he's hitting off of?  The place looks incredibly barren, parts of it had been a nursery.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
Edwin Drake Strikes Oil in Titusville, Pennsylvania (1859)
In the late 1850s, Drake hired a salt well driller to start digging on a piece of land near Titusville, Pennsylvania. Though oil was known to exist nearby, there was no practical way to extract it, and its primary use was in medicine. In August 1859, Drake struck oil at a depth of 69 feet (21 m), an event that marked the birth of the oil industry. Once a quiet village, Titusville became a bustling town as prospectors flocked to the area.

Some fellow down the road in Cleveland named Rockerfeller took that idea and ran with it founding the Standard Oil Company in 1870.That guy was not only shrewd but lucky
