Susan had her heyday in Hollywood during the 1960s. In the first half of that decade she racked up guest appearances on TV shows: "Laramie", "The Virginian", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", and others.

In '64 Susan began receiving feature film roles; unfortunately, none of the features ever became notable hits. "Ride the Wild Surf" tried to cash in on the surfing craze of that time; "Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine" tried to be a sci-fi comedy without Jerry Lewis; and "City in the Sea" became one of the lesser known movies that starred Vincent Price.

Susan did OK for herself though: she married a co-founder of the movie studio American International Pictures. Through that marriage she owns the rights to several better known AIP productions like "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" and "The Amazing Colossal Man"
