had a growler filled Tuesday afternoon with a beer copied from Anchor Steam (one of my favorites) by a new brewery

opened the growler this morning to enjoy while watching the Husker game - the dude forgot to put the gasket on the growler!!!!

flat crappy beer and my gasket is lost!!!

yes, I finished the beer

unfortunately, the brewery is 2 hrs away

yup, the dude was an older guy, not as old as me but, who is??

talked to him quite a bit, seemed like possibly an owner or a manager - figured he knew what he was doing

I've been suffering from diverticulitis for over a week.  I guess I'm going to have to see the Dr. over it.  When I've had it in the past, it usually goes away after 2-3 days.  Basically I've been fasting since last week, thought I was over it, ate a lot on Thursday/Friday/ and now it's back.
Don't sit on that. See a gastro ASAP.

Why you gotta tell me to torque something to 105 ft-lb which probably does NOT need that much torque (the bolts I removed certainly weren't near that tight), and then you send a bolt weak enough that the head shears off before my torque wrench goes 'click'???

We recently signed up for YTTV's new sports package, a slimmed down lineup consisting of only channels that carry games.  There's apparently no guide in that package, at least not that I can find, only the games available within the home screens.  The more I thought about it, the more it made sense....I guess you're not supposed to be able to watch channels, per se.....you can only watch them when they're carrying a game.

So 2:30 Saturday got here and it was time to cut on the Texas game, so I load the app on the living room TV and.....it's in Spanish.  Because it was giving me ESPN Deportes.  Normally when a game airs on more than one channel, YTTV gives you the option of which channel to select when you click into it.  But for this game, no such choice.  All the other games I came across gave the options, but not the Texas game.

So we listened to the first quarter in Spanish which, amazingly, I do not understand very well even after two years of high school Spanish and living in and working in CenTX and south TX for years around a bunch of Spanish speakers.  Wife was not amused.  I admit it was annoying, both for the Spanish language broadcast and also for paying for something I was 95% sure wasn't working correctly.

I finally realized I could pull up the multi-view options with four different games on the screen simultaneously, and then click into the Texas game from there, which was the correct, regular English language ESPN.  But that version wasn't recording, so I couldn't easily skip away from that game to check on others, or pause for breaks.

That was the only game that happened with on the weekend, but it was the first one we pulled up, and of course the one Mrs. DeT had anxiously been waiting for.  Gonna need for that not to be a recurring thing.  Grumpy.

Huh.  Some of the multiview channels I get (news) show broadcast I cannot access full screen, like Bloomberg.  I can watch and listen multiview but not full.

I will say our new DirecTV is better than the old version that was satellite, the Interwebz thing is more reliable.  The channel listing is more usable too.

There are approximately 123,726 channels that are all commercials selling some product.

On the Jeep bumpers?  Man when I replaced ours, I just went to "very tight plus a quarter turn."   It's been good enough for the past 5 years...

Yeah. And that was the rear bumper. Oddly enough the front bumper from the same company only said 66 lb-ft. With beefier bolts.
