No flip flops either.  Absolutely worst thing for your feet.
Oofos are great for me - got them when we moved here and on my third pair.

But, in general, I agree. Wal-Mart flops are a no-go.

There aren't any flip flops that provide support the way a real shoe can.  Hey Dudes are actually better than the Oofos and Hokas my i s c & aggie wife keeps trying to push off on me.

Plus flip flops are just sloppy.  Nobody needs to see your busted-ass man feet.

I get a pedicure every two weeks, and they apply matte clear polish to my nails.

My feet are the best looking part of my old-ass body.

If I have to wear some sort of sandal, it has always been and will always be Tevas.

I have Tevas for sandals. They are very good on my pretty feet.

My Neo computer saga is over.  Drove to Athens and turned it in, no problems.  Campus was deserted.  I got lost a couple times.  Stopped in Monroe coming back, nice little town.  Wife shopped.

The Classic City Athens, not the pretend Athens….

Campus is a lot prettier now, lots of trees and new buildings, they told me enrollment is up to 43,000.

My company is on the "unlimited PTO" vacation plan. So I just got my report.

In the past 6 months, I've taken 1 vacation day, and 3 bereavement days.

That's it. And so far, I only have 1 day requested for the rest of the year--although I'll probably add a few when we head to NorCal for parent's weekend at Berkeley.

With our old system, and my years of service, I think I'd be accruing about 20 vacation days per year, if not more.

I need to get out more.

How's that work?

Here, we start off accruing one sick day and one vacation day per month (technically, 8 hrs), though sick time can be taken for whatever, because you don't turn anything in saying you were at a medical appointment.  So you can use it like vacation.  Or you can use vacation days if you're sick (I had to do that when I blew out my sick time for abdominal surgery and still needed days off).  Starting off at 12 days off per year is pretty good, I thought.  In a couple months, my accrual goes up to 9 hrs per month, which amounts to a little over an extra day off per year.

I work with some people who have 20+ years here and they're at 16 hrs per month (2 days).  They rack it up.
