I'll let him answer because I don't remember, but he mentioned it previously and I looked it up then.  Seemed very similar to how tv pirates were using the Genesis plugin with the Kodi app a decade ago to magically procure every movie and tv show known to man.  Which was basically just the same technology torrent sites were using a decade before that.*

Far as I could tell, it's not legal.  It's one of those gray areas where it hasn't been explicitly outlawed/condemned yet, but it's coming.  I'd be real careful about it.

*not that I ever did any of those things.  I, um, know a guy who used stuff like that

I fell for it a couple times back in the day.  And my "card" got zapped the next day....both times.

I'm a slow learner.

Is vseebox legal?

Absolutely. VSeeBox functions identically to a premium, high-performance Android multimedia hub. Similar to a standard tablet or smartphone, it operates on an open-source Android OS platform. It is fully compliant to own and operate, providing users with a robust hardware environment to download, install, and manage various authorized applications via the internet or the Google Play Store for their ultimate home entertainment setup.

Just to test it out, I've found every episode ever of The Rockford Files and Simon & Simon!  Could watch TV non-stop for the rest of my days.

There is free content out there.  A lot of it actually.  Old stuff, back catalog stuff.

But you made it sound like you were getting new current stuff, IP owned by Apple and Prime and Peacock and whatnot.  If you're picking up any of that, then it's almost certainly not legal.

Yeah, technically the platform is legal.  So was Kodi.  Even the Genesis and Exodus plugins were legal.  But what we, um, those other people did with them was not legal, and I suspect the same is true with the vseebox.

If, for example, you can stream Game of Thrones and HBO is not getting a subscription fee for it, it's just not above board.

yup, the platform is legal

the content is NOT legal

the server providing illegal content can be shut down

I had an illegal firestick a year ago with 15,000 channels

the server was shut down and I was out of luck

paid $200 for 2 firesticks for the year
