Yeah, and he wasn’t as successful in the B1G as Woody Hayes was in the B1G so it’s kind of a moot point. Most of Paterno’s big successes came as an independent. He wasn’t all that successful in the B1G, often finishing second or third fiddle to Michigan or Ohio State.

Woody won 13 B1G titles and 3 undisputed mythical MNC’s. He has to be the guy when it talking B1G.
I agree.

Won 3 Big Ten titles and had an MNC stolen in 1994.
I would have been ok with a split in 94
would have been much better if they could have settled it on the field

The Ducks weren't as impressive as the Canes on their home field

 1994 Oregon Ducks football team

Oregon opened with a win over Portland State, but then lost to non-conference opponents Utah and Hawaii. However, on October 1, 1994, the Ducks pulled off a surprise trouncing of #19 USC, a team that the Ducks had defeated only one other time since 1972. Two weeks after defeating #19 USC the Ducks upset #9 Washington in a game that sparked a period of unprecedented success in the Oregon-Washington rivalry. They would go on to win the rest of their conference games, excepting a week 6 loss to Washington State, including a 10–9 victory over Arizona. The season ended with a 17–13 win over Oregon State with the Rose Bowl on the line. Oregon finished in sole possession of first place, with Arizona and USC tied for second.

B1G mount rushmore....

Coach: Woody Hayes, Ohio State
QB: Drew Brees, Purdue
Offense: Ron Dayne, RB, Wisconsin
Defense: Charles Woodson, CB, Michigan
There's a bunch of better QBs than him.  Insanely overrated.  He threw the ball A LOT.  That's about it.
What people usually don't remember about him is his running - almost 1,000 career rushing yards.

Paterno's tainted legacy doesn't belong anywhere near a Mt. Rushmore of any kind.  He and Art Briles can have their faces carved together on a pimple on the outhouse of college football.

I would like to know what he knew, and when he knew it.

When he was dying, he said he should have done more. Like what, and for what?

I want Tebow running the dive option with Hershel Walker at FB and Bo outside.
Defend that on 3rd and 1.

No defense could stuff Herschel, stuff Tebow, and then catch Bo.
