I hate the refs. I hate PSU.

That was a PSU TD.

JT certainly made his doubters eat crow.  I was one of them.

Ha, it's a great thing to eat crow over.  His numbers were mind boggling:
- he completed 16 straight to end the game
- he was 13-13 in Q4
-he was 33 of 39 with three easy ones dropped. That 85% or 90% without the drops
-328 yards, 4tds, 95 yards rushing for 423 total yards
- became the Big Tens ALL TIME leader in TD passes, passing Drew Bree's
Against the nation's #1 scoring defense and #7 pass defense.
But more than anything else, his grit despite being down all game is what makes him a special college QB, and why Urban has always stuck with him.

Purdue having trouble as our captain CB Da'Wan Hunte is out injured. Purdue took a 24-12 lead, but the Huskers just marched down the field to score and make it 24-19, picking on Hunte's backup.

Now Ja'Whaun Bentley is injured. Hopefully not serious... Ugh. Purdue has ZERO depth anywhere but the WR position, and now we're seeing some OL, DB, and LB injuries.

It's unbelievable how bad this WR group is.

Once again the story of the game is dropped passes

Losing Bentley would have been big.  This defense is bad ass though.  Losing Holt would be substantial.  When other teams come calling, Purdue needs to pay that man to stay.

couldn't agree more.

Always been a huge fan of JT. I never got the OSU fan hate on him. He's been a great player and leader for Ohio State for a long time. Class act all the way through too.

Idk why they hated. Bc he wasn't perfect? Is he Vince Young? Is he Tim Tebow? No but who the hell is? If people didn't like him bc he wasn't on that level- well newsflash- no one is. I think he's every bit the QB Troy Smith was and I don't remember #10 taking the kind of flack #16 got from the OSU fan base.

We still have a good shot at 5 wins. I would have thought coming into this year that 5 wins was a hell of a rebuild. Now I'm looking at 5 wins like it's utter crap.

Lol, I agree.  It's disappointing, but maybe encouraging at the same time.
The talent is obviously not there.  It will take Brohm 2-3 years to get players that can win consistently.
I hate to criticize these guys, but there is still a losing mentality around.
What's worse is that the coaches failed as well.  That conservative call on 3rd down made me cringe.  Prevent defense was atrocious, the DL was predictable, and the secondary gave up the sideline on every play.  Wtf.

Khail Tate only had 11.3 yards/carry today so he decided to complete 10 passes for 275 to finish up perhaps the most ridiculous month of any player ever.

agreed, if Purdue receivers merely catch 2 or 3 of the 10 or 11 balls that hit them in the hands its a win for the Boilers
Boilers outplayed and outcoached the Huskers for 3 quarters or more
I don't think the better team won this one

Nebraska was 'one of those' teams last night.    400+ yds passing,  a very small # of rushing yards, more or less abandoning the run, and they have to scrape on by.    As a fan it was such a guilt ridden victory.

p.s. yeah, that Tate kid is special to watch.  Looking forward to going to the AZ at USC game next weekend.
