Jeremy Gallon had way better numbers than I would have guessed.  Obviously different times, but he's 2nd in Michigan history in receptions, 3rd in receiving yards, 7th in receiving TDs.

But would any of these guys have even started on the 2003 Michigan team?  (Edwards-Avant-Breaston)

Maybe?  He was a late bloomer.  IIRC he and Carl Tabb were both very highly rated WRs that never really panned out fully (Tabb at all).  Of course Manningham came in 2004, and Anthony Bass was in there too, who would have been amazing if not for the injury he suffered.  I wonder if the way things work now, if Tabb and/or Arrington would have transferred out for PT.  That's a hell of a WR group to be stuck behind.

Had some solid receivers no doubt,I liked Funchess also - think he's still kicking around the League

Yeah he had a good 2017, fell off in 2018, then signed with the Colts but had a season ending injury in the opener last year.

I love when the pygmy WR becomes the #1 target (Gallon).

Also, I already broke my personal guidelines of trying to just vote based off memory.  In that case it would have been Funchess.  Granted he also went from a great TE to a solid WR, so I wonder if my mind is crediting him too much based on him overachieving as a TE.  He did have great hands, but alligator arms.

Compare this list to a list of top Michigan WRs from any other decade, and their fall from grace comes into clarity.

WWH: 1952, 54, 55, 57, 58, 60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 67, 68, 70, 72, 74, 75
1979, 81, 82, 84, 87, 94, 98
