Stave was actually better than Hornibrook, to be honest. I can't recall - starting at 2010?

Tolzien was really good that year.

I hate this vote because he was barely a Wisconsin player... A 1-year rental grad transfer from NC State before jumping to the NFL.

But... He's so much better than any other Wisconsin QB I remember, that I can't not vote for him.

UW has had some good QB's through the years. Tolzien was really good. John Stocco was good. Brooks Bollinger was very good.

But, Russell himself is all about UW. He credits Paul Chryst for his transformation from good to great.

I hear you, but he was just a pretty good college QB at NC State. He was good, but never great.

He didn't become a truly great, superstar college player until he got to Wisconsin.

They guy who voted for Horni must be an OSU fan, because he coughed up the CCG in 2017.

Ehhh.

The best Hornibook was better than the best Stave. The worst Hornibook was ... a different kind of bad than the worst Stave. One was bad at more basic passing, the other was less bad overall, but worse at taking sacks and throwing picks.

Stave did finish it out and close on a decently positive note, so maybe that puts him ahead.

I will cop to only watching him on replays, but I kinda find him overrated. Granted, he came after Samuel as a passer. And Samuel was all grit and no arm.

I still have a Brooks Bollinger man crush.  I have never delved into whether it was warranted or not.

Eh, it felt a little weird at the time.  Now it feels like the norm

That Tom O'Brien ran off Russell Wilson so he could start Mike Glennon was always one of the WTF coaching stories for me. Kind of like Butch Jones trying to turn JJ Watt into an offensive lineman.

Nick Saban running Antonio Gates off from MSU to Kent State because he didn't want him playing two sports
