It's back to band for me tonight. Westerville North made sure to schedule defending champs Olentangy Orange a couple weeks ago and got horsewhipped. Tonight we host runner up St. Xavier out of Cincinnati. We'll see how that goes. At the least, it's supposed to be a pretty nice night.

Tomorrow is supposed to be mild and rainy, which sounds like a pretty amazing time watching football all day in the sunroom. The wife will be working, the girls will be wiped out. Sounds tranquil.

I should also mention today is the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. A landmark for ten million reasons, but a small one is that it I was just a couple weeks into my first year of law school at Ohio State. A perk of going to OSU is season tickets to the football games. My second year of law school marked OSU winning a national championship (with me in attendance), which set off a lifelong passion for talking to strangers on football message boards. Which is how I found all of you!

Arizona State MIGHT give the Ags a little challenge.  They scored 70 last week against something called a "Morgan State" whatever that is.

I should also mention today is the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. 

Was in high school. Woke up late for school, with the radio on, and heard a top-of-the-hour report about a fire in one of the WTC towers. By the time I got to class, the second WTC tower was hit. Every TV in the school was turned to the coverage. Our history teacher, who was also our basketball coach and an Army vet, told us we were going to war. Parents began arriving to school to take their kids home early, including my Dad. He took me to his work office where there was a TV turned to the coverage. 25 years ago.

After that we all lived with the clear dividing line of pre-9/11 Vs post-9/11.

Now we live with two: pre-Covid Vs post-Covid.
