Cfp semi moved to Jerry World.  Good.  Of course this means IU may head to Pasadena with no fans.
Will there be a Rose Bowl game at all?
Assuming that they don't call the game in JerrahWorld the Rose Bowl?

The Yellow Rose Bowl maybe.  Guessing not their call.

Meaning the name is the property of the TOR.   Its a cfp semifinal at Jerry world.

Tulsa just tied up Cincinnati 24-24 with 3:41 left in the game.

Ohhhh, I thought you meant this year.

I mean, they definitely should’ve let that team into the playoffs, with extremely garbage quarterback play. (That team did it play surprisingly spry Rose Bowl against a team it had almost no business competing with)

Twice in under a decade elevates it from a fluke occurrence to something that we are going to have to take into account if we get to the point where there are 8 teams and we are trying to decide whether or not to award auto-bids to P5 CCG winners.

Don't you mean some 12-ing?
I'm just proud we didn't get blown out.

Lulz.  There's no such thing as twelving, but there's certainly "Alabamming."

That awesome defensive spectacle was a sight to behold.

Based on all of the coaches who have been vocal, Fowler, and all the talking heads- the question is who are the last 2 spots.  (assuming Bama and Clemson)
I really don't think so.

Some people have tried to make an issue of tOSU's lack of games but:
  • Most have either been obviously biased by their position or had an axe to grind, or
  • None have been the committee.

The committee has had the Buckeyes in their top-4 all year long. This weekend the Buckeyes beat #14 and won a P5 title. Here are the only other teams that had a better win and/or won a P5 title:
  • Oregon beat #13 USC and won the Pac12. Oregon also has six games but they have two losses.
  • #10 Oklahoma beat #6 ISU and won the B12. Oklahoma has 10 games with two losses.
  • #3 Clemson beat #2 ND and won the ACC but they were already ahead of tOSU.
  • #1 Bama beat #7 UF and won the SEC but they were already ahead of tOSU.
Clemson and Bama were already ahead of tOSU and Oregon isn't going to pass the Buckeyes from unranked. That only leaves Oklahoma. The Sooner aren't going to pass the Buckeyes and even if they did that would leave the Buckeyes in the CFP at #4.

Bama will be #1 and will play #4 in the Sugar Bowl.

#3 Ohio State will play #2 Clemson in the "Rose Bowl" in Texas.

The only serious question is who will be Bama's opponent in NOLA

If UW had not thrown that pick, woulda been over sooner.
I want to know who made that play call. Dumbest play call of the year.

If the committee were to pick A&M as the fourth team, then I actually think they'd re-seed it to avoid the A&M-Alabama rematch in round1.  They could call Ohio State the 4-seed and rationalize it with the lower number of games/wins.

I think this cuts to a core of sorts. Around this sport, there's always noise. There are always so many people talking all the time. Even the committee makes dumb noise when not talking (or not having weeks or rankings) would make for a more orderly, trustworthy discourse. But by and large, we are a people who seem to crave the rankings and the noise and speculation that come with it. There's something hardwired to not be able to look away from the noise. Like of course Jimbo is spouting nonsense, he's not gonna be like "I like my team a lot, but that OSU team I've never watched, they're the ones who should prevent us from playing for a title."

It reminds me a little of late Feb basketball. You have teams like, we'll pick Purdue last year, that are pretty strong but won't have the resume. And after like 70 percent of their games, the coach whose team that dropped them to 14-12 comes out and says "I've coached XX years, and if that's not an NCAA tournament team, I don't know what is." And this happens to like 25 middle-P5 teams for weeks.

Make sense if they do that - you should run for office. Not only that at least the Bucks would get blasted by the best team in CFB and Dabo and Jimbo could have their own fumble tongue event. And i wouldn't have to watch long and silky running his fingers thru his cascading locks.I hope some one curb stomps him

Modest disagree. Unless they went hurry up, they were gonna need to throw at some point. The field position wasn't all that great. A max-protect play with easier reads isn't the worst, especially with a No. 3 QB. But you gotta not make a crap throw and not have the receiver play like crap. I might've opted for something with a less-downfield option, but I don't hate it all that much.

My thoughts on A&M are well known, but seeing Saban blow a gasket if that happened would be hilarious.
