I was rooting for Notre Dame to win, both because I like the Irish and because I wanted to see the Committee trip over itself rationalizing why a 2-loss Clemson was being selected for the CFP.

But the way they are losing they do not look like one of the four best teams.

I'm coming to think that being conference champ ought to be a prerequisite for the CFP.
And I'm not saying that because OU is a conference champ.  I've thought this for awhile.
I don't like CCGs.
And nobody forced conferences to play CCGs, but if they're going to play them, then the games should have consequences.

Probably, but there has to be one better, and ... well it would get tricky.
