the US is already involved....Iran is the theocratic hell hole it is because of the US. Our CIA overthrew Iran's secular democratically elected government in 1953 and installed a brutal puppet dictator who oppressed the people of that country for 26 years until he was finally overthrown. And in that collapse a bunch of lunatic religious nut-jobs were able to fill the power vacuum and seize control. It continued on, as the US has declared constant economic warfare on Iran ever since the fall of the Shah in 1979. It continued on even further when the US directly supported Iraq in it's brutal 8 year invasion of Iran- even selling Iraq chemical weapons (how do you think Cheney and Rumsfield knew Saddam had WMD....they kept the receipts) in the '80s which devastated Iran and killed over 1 million Iranians. US even blew up an Iranian airlines Airbus killing nearly 300 passengers during that war. US kills Iranian targets with bomb drones to this day. Iranians really should hate the US. Our leaders in DC have given the people of that country plenty of reasons to hate the US.

The US is directly involved in that Israel's military would not be able to wage this war without the full-stop backing of the US providing it free advanced weaponry at expense of the US taxpayer and giving it political cover on the worlds stage vetoing and blocking any kind of UN resolution or sanction.

We're already directly involved. That ain't changing. UK intervening? UK is America's little toy lapdog. They don't do jacksh*t unless we say jump. They are weak, ineffective cowards who take their marching orders from the US.
