Iran has stated it will respond to the attack on its embassy. I would expect that to happen, no doubt.

The questions are what will they do, where, and when?

It might well be something more symbolic than substantive so they can appease their followers while not inciting a broader war.  They likely want to keep things contained so they can remain "distant" and continue to use proxies.

Israel has an embassy in Jordan which might be an example of a target of some sort, it's already experiencing protests.
