I won't pretend to get inside Putin's head, but I would guess the only likely scenario he's using nukes is if he's backed into a corner- and that corner would be the US sending troops on the ground to fight Ukraine's war for them and attacking targets inside Russia with missile strikes.
Ukraine will absolutely attack sites within Russia with missiles.  They're already hitting refineries with drones and such, I expect them to do it much more often going forward.  Ukraine is fighting an existential war for its very existence.  The less aid sent by the US, the less they'll do what we want.  So far they've only held back because we've kept them on a leash. The nastiness hasn't even begun.

But there won't be any US troops on the ground in Ukraine or Russia.  There won't be, there can't be, and there shouldn't be.  We agree on that much at least.

I hear that, and you'd think Ukraine should be trying to attack sites within Russia- they are at war after all and trying to prevent total collapse and total occupation by Russia. I was merely saying- that the troops we have and the missiles and bombs we have- are a lot better than what we've given Ukraine- and Putin knows that. He's fcked if Ukraine is keeping him stalemated where he's at and then the US starts sending in troops on the ground, drones with hellfire missiles, F-22's, F-35's, and all the crazy missiles and bombs and sh*t we have. He'd be backed into a corner, and back someone in a corner you just never know wtf they might do.

My hope is that there is an end to this war much sooner than later.

More devious plots intricately effected.
yeah, not really.

source: an email Hillary Clinton sent as secretary of state to an underling at the state department...

On April 2, 2011 sources with access to advisors to Saif al-Islam Qaddafi stated in strictest confidence that while the freezing of Libya's foreign bank accounts presents Muammar Qaddafi with serious challenges, his ability to equip and maintain his armed forces and intelligence services remains intact. According to sensitive information available to this these individuals, Qaddafi's government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver. During late March, 2011 these stocks were moved to SABHA (south west in the direction of the Libyan border with Niger and Chad); taken from the vaults of the Libyan Central Bank in Tripoli.

This gold was accumulated prior to the current rebellion and was intended to be used to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc (CFA).

(Source Comment: According to knowledgeable individuals this quantity of gold and silver is valued at more than $7 billion).

UNCLASSIFIED U.S. Department of State Case No. F-2014-20439 Doc No. C05785507 Date: 01/07/2016

French intelligence officers discovered this plan shortly after the current rebellion began, and this was one of the factors that influenced President Nicolas Sarkozy's decision to commit France to the attack on Libya. According to these individuals Sarkozy's plans are driven by the following issues:

a. A desire to gain a greater share of Libya oil production,

b. Increase French influence in North Africa,

c. Improve his internal political situation in.France,

d. Provide the French military with an opportunity to reassert its position in the world,

e. Address the concern of his advisors over Qaddafi's long term plans to supplant France as the dominant power in Francophone Africa.)

Oh and as far as the rat bastard Sarkozy goes....well he's only been convicted multiple times and the evidence is overwhelming that he took 50 million euros from Gaddafi to jump start financing of his presidential campaign- with the obvious quid pro quo that Gaddafi would receive favor from the French gov't once Sarkozy took power.

I thought the topic was French former colonies, but then, I admit to being confused.  Macron, Ukraine, NATO, French colonies, raw materials, something linking it all together.

Yeah, it's pretty consistent, along with the various epithets attached to various world "leaders".  I could mention I think little of Macron without calling him childish names.  I might let slip one about Bush 2 for personal reasons, but not usually.

I'm not sure Putin has real designs on the Baltics, I think that would be crazy.  Moldova, yes, Baltics probably not as much.  I don't view him as crazy.

So in other news today...Trump wins an appeal in court in his NY civil case today and gets a 10 day extension to post bond, and the bond is reduced from $454 million to $175 million.

Absolute biggest crock of shit case I have ever seen in my entire fcking life- the criminal AG who brought the bogus case and the fcking weirdo Judge who brought forth that bullsh*t ruling he pulled out of his fcking ass in a jury free trial (gee, that sounds fair) all because the radical criminal AG abused her powers and filed the civil suit under a state consumer protection law that denies a defendant the right to a jury. Yeah, cause this civil case was really all about protecting consumers....lmfao. Those poor consumer Wall Street banks surely need protection! :043:

This news comes just days after Trump's media company which owns his dumbass twitter knockoff Truth Social won approval by shareholders of a publicly traded SPAC called DWAC to merge- the merger was finalized today- share price of the company stock went up 35% on the NASDAQ today- and will net Trump billions of dollars- possibly allowing him to a secure a loan against his stock holdings in the new company to put up that $175 million bond so he won't have to put up his own cash. Which honestly is probably not something he'd want to do- because even if he wins his appeal vs the state of NY in that civil case- and he most definitely will- it'd be fcking YEARS before he ever got that money back from the state of NY. He'll be dead before that money is returned.

Liberal tears have to be flowing and heads exploding right now. You almost hate to see it.

yeah, no. whataboutism is not a real thing. it's just some stupid propagandistic term some dumb asshole made up and pulled out of his asshole to get stupid people to avoid seeking truth. it's a very effective tool, because: people are mostly very stupid.

Trump praises Truth Social after DWAC stock plunge (cnbc.com)

I've seen speculation some deep pocket types are trying to funnel money to Trump via this SPAC and the merged company, which would start trading tomorrow.  I can't find any real value in the proposition, at all.

TMTG, which owns the Trump Social platform that Trump used Saturday to proclaim his love for the app, reported losses of nearly $50 million over the first three financial quarters of 2023. It booked less than $3.5 million in revenue during that time.

It's nice that you're so very very smart as compared with the rest of us here.

But, you need to dumb things down a bit so "we" can follow along.  I am easily confused.

It's absolutely a real thing. Putin has been criticized for saying that the terror attack was Ukraine when most of the world's intelligence communities believes it's ISIS, and ISIS claimed credit for it.

So you want to suddenly talk about Macron and France's colonial history and how they're trying to protect their Francophile colonial African domination.

Which all may be true. But which has NOTHING to do with Putin claiming that Ukraine was behind or ordered the terror attack.

comparing apples to oranges.

tech/social media/app companies are typically ridiculously overvalued. look at twitter, no way that piece of sh*t was worth anywhere near what Musk ponied up for it. look at uber or lyft. dogshit companies that lose money like it's going out of style. yet valuations in the tens of billions.

casino/hotel companies with a dozen or so massive properties with massive overhead & losses- huge mortgage payments, huge construction, maintenance, operating expenses, property taxes? ehhh....not so much.

i have no idea how many users that stupid app has nor what their ad revenue is like, but he doesn't need it to be a successful company to be a success for him. all he needs to do is sell the stock in 6 months when his lockup is over and he'll make a shitload in profit.

This new merger ought to try and secure the funding to take over TikTok. Whoever buys that sh*t and takes it public going to make stupid money.
