Probably agree with this... The question is whether this makes them desperate enough to do something, though?

I don't know what sort of propaganda is thrown around inside China. My current exposure to the entirety of China is people I work with, and some work trips I made over there in the mid-2010s.

Standard playbook of any authoritarian state is to define (or invent) an enemy to blame your problems on, so your people don't blame them on you. Are they / have they been ramping that up re: the west over the last decade? Are their people insulated enough from opposing messages to buy it?

I'm honestly and sincerely asking--I don't really know the situation on the ground over there...

I don't know the exact state either, I interact with quite a few of our Chinese employees but there's zero political talk.

I expect the CCP can probably convince them of anything they like.

But I also don't think the CCP wants to put itself in permanent exile.  They'll rattle sabers but ultimately they need the rest of the world, they can't exist in isolation.

I'll go ahead and post this, at the risk of setting off yet another anger-filled rant of spewed underlines, italics, and capitalizations from MDot...

Florida is starting to get really expensive to live in. Unless you are coming from the North with cash, it's really hard. The average home price in my general area has increased more than 40% in 4 years. Throw in higher interest rates, and yeah, it's a no-go for a lot of people.
south florida was always expensive, now it's just insane. this place is becoming like Southern California/Bay area in terms of home prices. Palm Beach island was always nutty expensive- so you have to separate that little enclave out- now it's just pretty much bananas everywhere in terms of pricing and you're seeing areas like Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables having home sales in those areas for $30+ million, $40+ million, $50+ million, $60+ million, $70+ million- which was basically only ever happening in Palm Beach island before. Most you'd see houses sell for on those previously mentioned areas might've been $20 million. Now there are houses going for that all day and way more. The amount of wealth that has poured into the area in the last 5 years is straight up retarded- and there was already a sh*t ton of it before COVID.

Shit box houses in Pompano Beach that used to go for like $250k are now $500k. You can't get a new 2,400 sq ft under a/c home from either a regional or national production builder (aka the shittiest builders there are) anywhere that isn't 15 miles west that builds cookie cutter shitbox same houses for under $1 million now. And that's with no options basic cookie cutter. And the houses 15 miles west might start at $700k instead of $1 million. And some of the neighborhoods 15 miles out west are actually even more than $1 mil off the but- there are some like Boca Bridges where it's nearly $3 million off rip for a giant turd box cookie cutter shitbox house from a big production builder. And people pay for it because of it's a huge gated community with landscaping, entrance, amenities, club houses, etc., but the fking neighborhood is 15 miles west of 95 the traffic is more of a nightmare going west than it is south or east- and the houses are giant pieces of shit.

feel like people aren't moving down this way in FL anymore unless they already have tons of money.

I'm 20+ years deep so I don't count. Lol.

hardly any people from Michigan down this way period and almost zero last 5 years post-covid. it's mainly all north easterners both before covid and post covid, New Yawkuz, Jersey, Philly, Boston, Rhode Island, Connecticut, very tiny bit of Illinois/Chicago, and even tinier bit of Detroit/MI.

feel like the vast majority of midwesterners go to the other coast. don't know why that is. maybe I-75? which makes sense, most of the northeasterns come down this way and what's up that way....I-95.

Ya as long as get seriuos doesn't mean "we" foot the freight
of course we will continue to foot the freight of the bill when it comes to NATO as we always have, because: our nation is lead by a bunch of corrupted individuals/dumbasses.

I don't get this. They could take the Baltic States in 48 hours, but can't take Ukraine in 48 months?

UBN: Russia could take the Baltic states in 48 hours (msn.com)
don't get what? there's nothing to get. it's nothing but fear mongering/war propaganda to nudge US/EU populations into thinking "must fight russia!" from some nothing media outlet that no one has ever heard of called UBN and some jerkoff named Mark McNamee that no one has ever heard of.

Russia can't take the Baltic states in 48 hours, everyone with half a brain knows this. Not to mention all the Baltic states are members of NATO, and if Russia attacked those states could invoke article 5 and then WWIII is likely upon us, and Russia doesn't want to fight the US or NATO. They can't. And if they did, they'd probably resort to using nukes and then well sayonara to all us, nice knowing you world.

Which makes it even more important for the Ukrainians to get the armaments they need from the US stockpile to clean the Russians out, sooner than later.
Lolwut. Yeah, no. US stockpile? What US stockpile? We don't have sh*t in the way of artillery stockpiles. And we can't manufacture them fast enough here because we don't manufacture jacksh*t here anymore thanks to 40+ years of hollowing out our industrial base and sending it over seas. Russia? Well they only manufacture 3x's the amount of artillery shells per month than the US/EU can....combined.

What is most important for Ukrainians is that their crooked ass leaders stop being lapdogs of a US foreign policy establishment (swamp creature goons like Victoria Nuland) that doesn't give a single fcking sh*t about Ukraine or how many Ukrainians that die- and go to the negotiating table while they still can and negotiate a peace and end to the war. Otherwise they'll just run out of fighting age men sooner rather than later- Russia will take another 20% chunk of territory and annex it- and the country will become a failed rump state that has been destroyed beyond recognition, lost entire generations of men, and will have about 40% less territory than they had before the start of this horrific war.

We might need that stockpile.

If France really does go into Ukraine with troops, all hell will break loose.

Then China goes after Taiwan and we have two fronts.
France ain't doing shit. It's extremely reckless and stupid for that puny little hornball grandma loving freakazoid loser leader to run his mouth and write checks his ass most certainly can't cash, and it just throws gasoline onto a flaming fire- but that little bitch ain't doing shiiiiiiiit.

China would have a hell of a time invading Taiwan and taking it. Honestly don't think they can do it. That island is a hard MF to take. And if they tried they'd very likely fail and well Taiwan is something USA will fight over. Taiwan is actually of vital importance to US national security and US world hegemony. Ukraine is not. Ukraine means literally nothing to the US. US gains/loses nothing from Ukraine. Ukraine is being used as cattle for slaughter to weaken Russia via proxy by the US. Taiwan on the other hand = vitally important to US and it's future.
