Both candidates are shitty.  If you can't admit that, then you're a shill for one party (side of the same coin) over the other.

Both parties are radical bastardizations of themselves.

And CNN showed there wasn't 24 hours of news to perpetually cover.  Its anchor program was a talk show.  It was bailed out by the first Gulf War.  We'd all be better off and less polarized if it (and those that followed) never existed.

have you read it
Yes. My summary above was a very concise overview of my thoughts, but yes I read it. It's 20 pages. It's not War and Peace (which I've also read.

youve got too much time on your hands

No I have not read it but I listened to several others that have and as can be seen from my prior post have a pretty good understanding what the meat of it is

I think anyone will admit that - if they are truly being honest.

Everyone cares about inflation so it's not worth mention.

My vote will be based on policies - mainly two.

1. Border security.
2. No endless, pointless or proxy wars (i.e. NO WARS).

Folks often live where the job is, or where they are from.  I imagine many folks who grew up n Des Moine stay there unless they get a nice job offer somewhere else.

I recall fairly often in Cincy being asked which high school I attended, it was a mark of locals, you were east side or west side or Catholic.  Around here of course not many are "from here".

Biden to launch joint FTC-DOJ task force to crack down on 'unfair and illegal pricing' (cnbc.com)

What law is on the books regarding "illegal pricing"?  Who determines what is or is not legal?

Is this just another gimmick?

The New York Times is facing backlash over its coverage of Donald Trump and the 2024 election | CNN Business

Apparently, its readers think it has not focused negatively on Trump enough.  A good question is whether it would make any difference as I'd guess nearly all NYT readers won't vote for DJT.  But, they can be more negative to appease their readers of course, which is how news organizations operate (usually).

Life is all irony and I'm against all over generalizations.

well price fixing is illegal in terms of federal law. monopolies are suppose to be. those certainly affect prices consumers pay.

but as far as “illegal pricing” or price gouging is what I’m assuming this bs gimmick useless taskforce is going to address- don’t believe there is a US law on the books about price gouging. some states might have laws- but that would be out of the jurisdiction of the doj-ftc.

The disastrous policies of the Biden admin is affecting what people pay for the sh*t they have to buy to live than any “illegal pricing” cockamamie this idiot is spouting off about and creating useless tasks forces over.

Hey who knew that printing money like it’s going out of style, draconian sanctions on Russia backfiring on us, and alienating the Saudis to the point where they continually tell him to completely and utterly fk right off at every turn- all while smack dab coming off a pandemic which completely disrupted world supply chains- poured gasoline on the fire of inflation causing people to have to pay more and more for goods and services they need to live.

Nothing but PR gimmick to shift blame away from himself.
