It's the Buckeye fans turn to pony up for Peacock.

I don't think I can do politics. I have a nasty habit of telling the truth.

People REALLY love that level of honesty...

McCarthy had a complete crap job.  I don't mean that because of the ideologies, it would be true if you flipped it.

He was House Speaker with a VERY slim majority and with the Senate and White House controlled by the other party.

Doesn't matter if that situation is held by a D or an R, it is going to be a mess.  The party in the (slim) majority in the HoR is naturally going to have people from the wing that want to "burn it all down" but the grown ups need to actually get the business of government done and there are naturally going to HAVE to be compromises because the other party controls the Senate and the White House so the Speaker in that situation is going to have a constant mess on their hands.

Gaetz' criticism is basically that McCarthy passed a budget with more Democrat than Republican votes so his solution was to oust the speaker with more Democrat than Republican votes.

There are others, but yes.
Could you point them out? Should be an easy copy/paste.

I could be wrong, but my understanding of Stop and Frisk was the the officer had to have probable cause to Stop and Frisk someone without their consent. I don't believe that they could simply pick a person at random and search them, they had to have a valid reason for the search.

If that is NOT the case, then I would agree that it is a violation of a person's rights.
This gets to a sort of hazy area. “Probable cause” is an often low standard. But that’s in most cases.

We are a people pretty deferential to certain types of government, at least in a sort of abstract sense.

“Probable cause” has always been a stupid low standard.

On the rare occasion with a rouge and over-aggressive cop, yes it was. But it was rare.

There are bad cops in amongst the many good ones. Lots of examples of this in Chicago, under Jon Burge.

I'm not sure it's nearly as rare as some folks want to think
might be many bad cops in amongst the few good ones

Probable cause just changes "you're wearing a hoodie" to "suspicious activity."

And I don't think it's a simple most cops are good and only a few are bad, either.  A good cop with a good track record of things could be playing the percentages or be confident he's doing the right thing AND still be overreaching and ignoring the rights of citizens - especially if given so much leeway and ambiguity.
