My wife wants to go to France in Feb.  A flight from here to Marseille is $1219 in comfort, not bad, a flight from here to Paris same dates and seats is $1340. 

The flight to Marseille changes planes in Paris ...

Yup, the most recent battery for our Jeep Wrangler woulda been $279 new.  With warranty/core exchange it was only $80, but still...

Seriously? Batteries have jumped that much? 

Thankfully I haven't had to buy one for a while, but I think it was maybe 3-4 years ago and they were definitely <$100.

Hmm. Looking at my local AutoZone online, the lowest-price battery for my 2009 Jeep Wrangler would be 89.99. One step up is 129.99. Both of those are brands I've never heard of... Gotta go up 179/189 for AC Delco or Duralast.

For the 2014 Ford Flex, it's the same price points and brands.

We are doing a cruise in the Eastern Mediterrean in October than going up to Ireland, England and Paris after before flying back.
