Percy Harvin to this day might be the fastest human being and biggest freak show and with the football in his hands that I've ever seen in person at a college football game.
Ted Ginn would disagree until his teamates broke his leg

The fact that Woodson echoed Desmond Howard with a punt return TD vs OSU is one of those "you just have to shrug and give it to him" things.

I just re-watched it, and Keith Jackson and Greise are lauding the punter leading up to the return, lol.
he didn't just score a punt return TD on special teams, he also took points off the board from OSU with an interception in the end zone when OSU was near the goal line, and he also set up Michigan's only TD on offense of the day when he caught a pass at WR for 40 yards but got tripped up near Michigan's end-zone on a TD saving shoe string tackle by Antoine Winfield- and then A-Train punched in the TD for Michigan right after.

Michigan won 20-14 and Woodson almost single-handedly beat Ohio State. He was incredible that game. What a fkn football player that guy was. 1st ballot HOF type player in college & pros.

My favorite 2 parts when people try to say _____ was better than Tebow:
1 - player X's team sucked around him.  I guess Jamaal Charles sucked.  Ramonce Taylor sucked that year.
2 - somehow, Urban Meyer's system was SO good, a glorified FB wound up with the 2nd-best career passer rating EVER
.
Wow, I guess Meyer was underpaid.
Young scored 38 TDs on a team that averaged 50 ppg.  Hmm...that's weird.  And if running for TDs near the goalline was so easy, why didn't Young do it?

Harvin was really great.  But he didn't play vs Bama in 08.  Timmy beat #1 Alabama without him.  And he wasn't around in 09, when Florida went 13-1 AGAIN.

Vince Young gets put on a pedestal because of one game vs USC.
People throw the stats out when they don't support their opinion.  Young kind of sucked his soph year.  But let's sweep that under the rug.

oh he's way up there too. gimme Harvin overall though. Percy was more versatile and much more physical and built. dude was jacked. a ball of muscle. strong af. could play RB as well as WR/KR/PR. Ginn was more lanky/slender, couldn't play RB.

Woodson was incredible in that game.  He was the difference.  Almost perfect- but he did get burned for a long TD by Germaine to Boston.

I remember gasping when Michigan threw a sure pick 6 deep in their own territory very late in the 4th quarter.  Hit Katzenmoyer right in the numbers- and he dropped it.

Troy's brother, Darren Davis, rushed for 1,005 yards and 5 TDs.  4.7 ypc.
He went on to have 2 more 1000 yard seasons on a ton of carries.
So technically, he had more 1000 yard seasons than Troy did, lol (but 600 fewer yards overall).

so, I guessed right

half the yards and half the TDs

B12 commissioner pulling no punches about how he feels about OU/TX....not a great look
well, at least the commish back when Nebraska and Mizzuo and Ralphie left pulled some punches "publicly"
it wasn't a horrible look, unless you watched the games

they both had amazing seasons. VY threw for over 3,000 yards in an era where that was kind of a big deal. He also ran for over 1,000 yards. Give me the generational QB over the generational RB everyday of the week and twice on Saturdays.
That’s true. But when they vote for Heismans, he was a 2,769-yard passer and 850 yard rusher.

Now posting an average day of 230 passing yards and an 70.8 rushing yards a game ain’t nothing to shake a stick at.

Neither is 8.9 per carry, nor 170 yards from scrimmage.
