Music Midtown returning to Piedmont Park after canceling last year’s festival – WSB-TV Channel 2 - Atlanta (wsbtv.com)

The presale for 3-Day and limited 1-Day General Admission, GA+, VIP, and Super VIP tickets will begin Thursday at 10 a.m. at www.musicmidtown.com. The remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at a later date.

General admission tickets start at $350 before fees. Here is the full lineup.

WUT!?!?!?!?!?

Are you surprised at the price of tickets?  If so, you should understand that just single-bill concerts are now going for well over $100/ticket.  So festivals with 3 days and numerous headliners per day, are commonly selling for $300-$500.

I'm shocked, frankly.  I can sit on our balcony and listen to it if I want for free.

You don't want to know what two tickets to Adele in Vegas set me back, then... :03:

I'm old and out of touch.  I was aghast when season symphony tickets went to $100 per for the balcony.  That's a six set series for two of us.  I moved us up to the second balcony, first row, which actually is pretty decent.  Still expensive.

We were comped premium tickets in Cincinnati to the concert, which was excellent.  I'm sure they were pricey, we sat with the maestro's wife.  She and my wife spoke French much of the time.

Rolling Stones tickets were north of $350 for GA when they came to town last year.  I'm sure Vegas prices blow that away.

Word.  Everyone should move to Florida!
they should move to Texas instead. It's getting too crazy here. I motion to deport all the Canadians, New Yorkers, and New Jerseyites.

Could be worse though....we could be getting loads of Californians like Texas....

kinda shocked those old farts are still alive....especially Keith Richards. The amount of alcohol and drugs that guy has consumed in his life could've wiped out entire small towns.

When I was a student, I volunteered for a while to "usher" at concerts we had (which were free anyway).  I remember the Beach Boys did one.  There was a place called B&L Warehouse that had two stages at each end and music all night every night, and on Tuesday quarter beer.  (Not good beer, but beer.)

Youth is wasted on the young.

We have tickets for our local theater, and the new season works out to be about $100 per show per ticket. Granted, we're in the orchestra section, not the balcony... It did go up from our previous season because we're moving to a weekend matinee package from weeknight package.

We're going to see Chicago tomorrow night, in fact. Should be good as neither of us have seen it.

Yeah, it's nuts. Adele only does 2 shows a weekend. When she did her first run my wife and I both signed up for the ticket lottery, and neither were chosen. I kept monitoring tickets on the secondary market but it was pretty much over $800 to get in the door.

For this second run, though, I got in with a pretty early place in the queue to buy face-value tickets. Even so, the super-cheap nosebleeds were already gone and the rest of the nosebleeds were over 300 not counting fees. The upcharge to "pretty decent" tickets was not astronomical compared to the low 300s, so I ended up moving forward a decent amount. And I thought the tickets were pretty reasonable, up until the 20+% in fees was tacked on! Effing Ticketmaster! :96:

I was in Palm Beach last week. I think more and more are moving to Florida permanently, and not going back and forth.

Traffic there was just as bad as over here. Maybe just a little worse.

Much different than in 2021, when things got really light for 6 months. We have some relief now, but not like 2 years ago.
