How can anyone assert credibly it did NOT contain the "hallmarks of Russian dsinformation"???

As I stated, that would apply to nearly anything, including my posts here.

Some of them anyway.

It's such a vague claim as to be broadly attachable.

One could claim my posts here have "the hallmarks of Russian disinformation".  It's a vague claim that could be attached to nearly anything.  And I believe 51 former officials signed it.

The problem really was how the MSM ran with that letter uncritically.  It was simply an "opinion", one taken as gospel by many,
The problem is the MSM is a puppet of the "deep state" which regurgitates bs narratives and propaganda wholly uncritically and runs cover for the US govt. That is it's entire purpose for being....it's part of the control apparatus and one of their main functions is to manufacture the consent of the governed.

Lmfao....it was so obviously NOT true and it was an obvious US intel propaganda op aimed directly at the American people....you know....the sort of thing that used to be illegal in this country....
It still is illegal.

Nothing will be done here though. 99.99% confident in that statement.

What is illegal?  That some FORMER intel fellows signed a misleading letter?  I don't think so.

LMAO. Yeah. K. And the tooth fairy is real too. You can't prove it's not. So...it's might be factual. Your point is moot and makes not a lick of sense my dude. The way things are suppose to work....is you have to PRESENT EVIDENCE FOR YOUR CLAIMS/ASSUMPTIONS. That is how you judge what is true/false or the probability that something is true/false.

Anyone can say and claim anything they like. And that's all the US "intelligence" community ever does. Spout a bunch of horseshit with ZERO evidence to ever back up any of their fantastical claims. Bet you bought that whole "Sadam has weapons of mass destruction!" bullshit hook line and sinker. Didn't cha. It's OK to admit. 99% of the sheeple in this country did as well. I mean it only lead to the US waging an illegal war, occupying an entire country for a decade plus and the deaths of anywhere from 250,000 to 1 million Iraqis, millions more displaced, and an entire country destroyed. But it was a long time ago. No big deal.

CRITICAL THINKING. OH WHERE HAVE YOU GONE.

And you entirely miss my very simple basic point.

All sorts of things qualify as having the "hallmarks of RD".... it's a very low bar.

US "intelligence" has completely infiltrated mainstream news media....surprised that more people don't understand this....

The best kind of deceptive "information" is that which contains some truths while obscuring others, it can even be entirely true in a literal sense while being entirely misleading in its implication.

This to me is a good example of the latter.

Well that is the point.  Throw some vague, ubiquitous BS claim out there and use that as an excuse to throw a blanket over coverage.
the majority of mainstream news media flat out reported that "russian disinfo" bullshit as FACT....wholly and uncritically, without ever mentioning there wasn't a shred of evidence for that assertion.

but that's all they have to do to sway stupid people....just report it as if it's true because big brother says it might true....and it works. every damn time. sad that there are that many people in the US who believe anything they see/read/hear from mainstream news media, but unfortuantely we live in a nation filled with complete and utter fking morons.

In other words ( knowing what we know factually about the laptop- it’s contents- and how very damaging it COULD have been to Biden),

it was a very effective, intentional disinformation campaign by the party, media and Big Tech. Exactly 847’s point.
yep
