He loves the back and forth youre misreading him
I don't think so, I'm afraid.

He might be good at business, and he's definitely good at collecting fanboys and getting them hyped up.

But his level of public insecurity and need to make jokes a 14-year-old or person who thinks like a 14-year-old betray a real sad and weird streak.

It's his life, and having more money than god means he gets to do whatever he wants. But what he wants it to apparently project that he acts like a middle schooler, and I'll point that out as I please.

Yeah but he so often says really stupid things.
as has every human being that has ever existed...

I honestly think 90% of Elon's public tweets/comments are straight up trolling. He strikes me as kinda immature.

Elon and genius should never be mentioned in the same sentence.
like him or not, he's pretty f'n smart. listen to the people who have worked with him in the past- they all say he has a firm grasp and is deeply involved in everything he's doing- from the engineering/designing of rockets to the production/assembly of electric automobiles....he's certainly no dummy.

I don't.  I think he's mostly just dumb.  And often, high, when he makes his sweeping generalizations that he believes are special nuggets of truth.

He's one of those people that thinks he's smarter than everyone else, because he has made a lot of money.

Anyway, he doesn't affect my life at all, so it's not something I think about much, other than gabbing on a message board forum.

I do like what SpaceX has been doing, so that's a point in his favor I suppose.
Um...he probably thinks he's smarter than everyone else....because....he is smarter than everyone else.

I mean the dude was only CEO and founder of three revolutionary companies from basically scratch- PayPal, Tesla, and SpaceX. The dude only virtually started online payments/banking revolution with the merger of his company X.com and Peter Thiel's company Confinity to create PayPal, created the first successful American automotive company in oh only about 100 years with Tesla- which by the way has brought upon the EV revolution, and oh yeah not to mention he's also only been building the first ever reusable rockets, creating the first ever true high speed satellite internet system with his StarLink, and just successfully test launched the largest and most advanced rocket ever created by human beings- a system which has as it's goal to help human beings reach Mars in our lifetimes.

I love the people who try to call him stupid and love to criticize him and bash him over the stupidest little things....it's like oh yeah cool...really well what the hell have you done with your life that's so impressive? Lol. That man is a borderline god and one of the most important and remarkable human beings ever to live.

Yes.
She's the Britney Spears-Madonna-Michael Jackson of today.
When tickets went on sale for her latest concert, it broke the internet.  Not just ticketmaster and those sites, but I believe it screwed up entire swaths of the internet.
maybe Britney or Madonna, sure.

Michael Jackson was/is just at an entirely different level. Thriller turned that dude into the biggest thing in the history of the entertainment industry. Only thing you can really compare that guy to is Elvis or The Beatles, and he may have just been even bigger than either.

Being a creative successful entrepreneur doesn't necessitate being smarter than everyone else.

I've met some truly smart people in my life, in one way or the other.  None of them were entreprenurial, nor famous.  They were exceptionally successful in their field.

And I doubt many view him as "stupid" or below average in intelligence.

you don't start the amount of ground breaking, revolutionary, successful companies in the fields that he has- as he has done in his short life- he's only 51 - without being incredibly intelligent. Sorry. Just doesn't happen.

Nah I don't think he's stupid, he just says a lot of stupid shit.  Openly, publicly, and intentionally.

BAB is probably spot-on, in pointing it out as immaturity.

Or, he's just really high a lot of the time.

I think he's extremely immature.

Might be a product of insane wealth/fame/notoriety and living a god like existence for the last say 20 years of his adult life or so. That probably tends to bring out the worst of a person.

Could be.

Like I said, I don't think about it much at all, aside from rando internet message forum chatter.

I do have an appreciation for SpaceX though.

Fine, but you posted this:

I completely disagree with that.  He may well have a high IQ, let's stipulate it's 150.  He not smarter than everyone else.  He's just very smart if that is his score (noting tests don't do well that far out).  He may well be "incredibly intelligent" without being anything like being smarter than everyone else.
