FWIW, I just bought some CDs 1 year at 5.1% (which is losing ground after inflation/taxes).  The 3 year dropped to 4.6% (inverted yield curve).

This was not a special deal, just through my broker (who from time to time ...)...

With superstar concerts and NBA playoffs, here’s how to get around downtown Atlanta this weekend – WSB-TV Channel 2 - Atlanta (wsbtv.com)

Question:  I don't think I've ever heard this T. Swift lady sing (that I knew of).  Is she really a superstar?  I saw her in some commercial once and thought she was pretty pretty.  I guess she can sing.  I'm not up on "pop" music at all obviously.

We won't be downtown this weekend at all anyway.

She's the Britney Spears-Madonna-Michael Jackson of today.
When tickets went on sale for her latest concert, it broke the internet.  Not just ticketmaster and those sites, but I believe it screwed up entire swaths of the internet.

Superstar? Yes. She's big enough that her fans have their own nickname: "Swifties"

My wife has "Shake It Off" on her playlist because of my 10 yo daughter. If you want to start a dance party in the kitchen, just turn that on and my daughter will appear. 

I personally think she's a very talented songwriter but only a "meh" singer. Nothing really unique or interesting about her voice.

Huh?  Musk has plenty of videos of himself smoking out.  He hits the Austin bar scene pretty regularly with Joe Rogan.  They're not anywhere close to "un-high" during those excursions.

Anyway, I don't care one lick whether or not he's a stoner, I'm just speculating that one of the reasons he says so much dumb shit that's completely wrong, is because he's often high.  If he's doing it stone cold sober, that's probably even worse.

Taylor Swift was the headliner at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix Saturday night concert at COTA in Austin a few years back.  I'd heard her music because my then-10-year-old daughter liked her, and I thought it was pretty good.  Since we get tickets for the race specifically, I always view the concerts as essentially "free" and so we went to the concert, because it was free.

I have to say, it's one of the best concerts I've ever attended live.

I guess her voice isn't "unique or special" but it's certainly very good, even live, and she's a heck of a songwriter.  She's also an excellent live performer, her connection wtih an 80,000 person audience, was remarkable.

Anyway, yeah, she's a superstar.  Madonna/Michael Jackson/Prince/Elvis/Beatles kind of big.
