Nice. We were just up in Long Beach yesterday. I'm sure eating pho would have been better than listening to 15 shrieking 6 year olds at a birthday party.

My only solace is that none of them belonged to me, so I could just chill and casualty sip a beer and ignore them.
I’ve only ever been invited or dragged to birthdays for kids 3 and under. Those are usually shockingly OK.

The 4-10 range brings into play those insufferable jumping and bouncing places that are louder than a EDM nightclub.   To say nothing of a dreaded Chuck E cheese visit.

Say from 6-9am and 4-7 pm, CNN and FoxNews and MSNBC will not have commercials and may only report facts, with cited sources.  They're free to have as much down-time or dead-air as they wish during these 2 blocks of time, and they're free to inundate viewers with all of their radical, slanted "commentary" outside of the two blocks of time.
My main problem with the "news" is not so much that they don't report "facts", but that they select which "facts" to report, and which to headline and which to bury.  This is editorial.  I think if one watches say Fox News at 6 PM, you see "factual reportage" (generally), but if you watch CNN you see a very different fact set.

One of our TV channels has six "news" channels shown, you can readily toggle back and forth, and it's fascinating to watch at times (I will do it for a few minutes).  (Two channels are weather channels, and then you have Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and the BBC.  Without listening you can readily see which "stories" are reported, and the other channels generally will avoid them unless they are a major national story.  (The BBC is more globally oriented.)

I can tell you a "fact" easily enough to create a misapprehension of reality.  UGA almost lost to Mizzou last season and were lucky to beat another team by one point  ...( so they must be a bad team).

The building in the foreground just topped out one year after start of construction.

Nice view looking south, you can see MB stadium and the new Hilton being built next to it.  We looked at a condo in the building near left called Aqua.  The two buildings on the right center are the Coke HQ, and just shy of that is GaTech.  We're NE of this spot a few blocks.  I'm thinking of going to some Tech baseball games sometime, maybe.

I just saw that Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News. Not much detail yet, but his last show was this past Friday. Happened pretty fast.

He was highly rated with viewership, although we stopped watching him a few years ago.

Seemed like he got weird.

don't think he got weird so much as he kept actually committing a mortal sin in mainstream media.....he actually started telling the truth from time to time.

They also fired Don Bongino on Friday, and CNN fired Don Lemon today

I have no clue how Don Lemon lasted as long as he did. He may just be the biggest moron I have ever seen on cable tv news. And that is saying something....

I view these guys all as entertainers, not "news" sources, at all.  They feed their audience what they want to hear.

There really isn't enough "news" to be on several networks 24/7, so they added these opinion shows, which hit it off big.

Same here. When they cease being entertaining, I'm out.

The only show on Fox News worth looking at is probably Bret Baier. He is not "over the top" like the others.
