They are around here apparently.  The young crowd is renting and then later buying something, or so he data indicate.  It makes sense, it's just the numbers are a bit impressive, to me.  Nearly everything new going up around me is apartments, not condos, but this area is very young and hip (except for me) and not indicative of the metro area at all.

I think the single family market here has cooled, interest rates etc., but it's still hot.  The condo market is more "warm".  Nothing in our building stays on the market long at all.

Market is still pretty hot here. Most people are paying cash.

It isn't 2022 anymore.

I applied for a loan on a new condo in 1981 and the lowest rate I could find, 30 year fixed, was 17.5% ....

The developer eventually got me one for 12.5% 3 year ARM and also gave me a $7500 two year no interest loan.  And I got a deal on the condo.

Augusta is not a large city, so a small airport is to be expected.  My guess is they have some extra ramp space because of the Masters.

UGA Medical school shuts down during the Masters.

My wife wants to go to Cincy in May, so I check airline prices, expecting to see something like $230-250.  Nope, $100 over that and then some.  It's about a 7 hour drive, not spending $700+ to avoid that and then pay for a rental car to boot.

That drive is nice from Knoxville to Lexington. Some nice bites to grab in both spots.

(Haven't driven that part of North Ga or Tennessee, but I've heard good things about the former)
