I can pull up about 15 year's worth of posts to back my claim.  Tell me I'm wrong.

Statistically, they don't vote.  Neither do young people.  Try to avoid typing shit that makes you look like a colossal ass hat.

Many pooooor people don't vote because they're trying to avoid homelessness.
Go tell them how that's a bad choice.
this is what I was insinuating.

I'm an asshat, but if you type it you're not?

I'm okay with both of us being an asshat

I'd assume Florida is better, though I wonder how much density factors in (I wonder that too with my past experiences)

Like I assume a major metro is more of a pain, just from a volume standpoint. Like, what would the gap be between Quincy Ill. and downtown Miami?
Where I lived in Illinois was about as dense at where I live now.

That's "in and around" to me. The entire metro is well-covered.
That feels generous, but agree to disagree, I suppose.

It is?

I should say, are you talking the specific town? Metro? Something else?

Could be. Living in Chicago, 55 miles was less than my one-way commute to work for about 5 years. It was 73 miles.

It's close for sure. I lived in Lake County up until Palatine, which has the same population as Lee County, FL.

In Palatine, the closest DMV for us was Lake Zurich (in Lake County).

Lord. If can be rude, where was that from and to? Just trying to get a picture of it.

I'm genuinely curious about commutes. I've always been lucky to live close to work, and my current company has a bunch of people who work from home instead of losing two hours a day in transit.

Ahhh. I see, and I see where we were misaligned.

Lake County Ill is about 50 percent more dense, but in the context I was referring to, I assumed there was some DMV redistribution, so people from Cook or DuPage might wander over in search of better DMVs. Whereas Lake County Fla is the centerpiece, so people could also filter out to the less dense neighboring counties.

In any case, this kinda stuff interests me, and I've enjoyed putting off things I should do to cut up about it.

This is comedy gold.

Turning this into a pretend issue- that there are a material number of people who want to vote but can’t because they don’t have, or can’t get, the required level of ID for their particular jurisdictions.

As CD said- and Fearless supported.  There is not much of an issue with folks walking up to vote without ID.  But there certainly could be if the rules continue to get looser.

The bigger issue- what level of ID or validation should be required for mail in ballots or those “ collected”  by the compensated harvesters.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
