I'm a "no" answer on this one, for a few reasons.

My wife's income is fixed, and in reality so it mine as I cannot afford to bump my pay as I have to keep bumping up the staff to keep them. So, we have taken a major pay cut in our world.

Our investments (not the real estate ones) are taking a beating. Net worth is down 20 percent now, from its peak.

We don't feel as safe as we used to, depending of course on where we are.

I have very little confidence in public education, after mostly a lifetime of being a big proponent.

I'm deeply disappointed in the politicization of the Supreme Court.

I'm the least confident in our military since 1980.

No way he thought it would imo. He was overconfident and miscalculated and it's clear as day the Russian military is outdated and sucks....but it's still worlds better than the Ukraine's tiny little Nazi infused shitbag fleabag military. 

But my guess is he ALSO never expected the US/UK/EU/NATO but ESPECIALLY the US to go as full-blown hardcore war mongering proxy war mode and arm/train/support Ukraine to the f**king TEETH.

No way this thing goes on more than a couple weeks, and Ukraine would've been wiped out if they didn't get $55 billion in aid from US (in like THREE MONTHS) and countless more billions from UK/EU. UK alone has pledged around $3.5 billion.
