Jet A is the common jet fuel, I doubt it has any ethanol, it's basically Kerosene with some additives.

A turbine can burn about anything if adjusted for it, but ethanol inherently has less fuel value than a pure hydrocarbon because it's already partially oxidized.
From what I can tell, I believe the comment you are responding to, was made in jest.

Oh I'm sure it was, I was just thinking about using ethanol in a jet turbine.  It's doable, with a drop in range.

I suspect "green jets" may have to rely in hydrogen as fuel, someday, perhaps.

Funky “Dogbone” Roundabout Design Reduces Crash Injuries (motortrend.com)

These are pretty common in France, or something very similar to this, they usually have a full round about at each junction.

Yeah the French do love their roundabouts.  I suppose an extended roundabout is even better in their eyes.

I haven't seen any of those around here, but the double-crossover aka diverging diamond interchange is becoming more common down here in Texico.

I passed through two new roundabouts in Cincy that weren't there last I was.  We don't have many around here, the diamond reverse thing is becoming more common.

We (and by us, I mean MnDOT) been installing a lot of dogbones and double-roundabouts at interchanges. The dogbones are a little harder to shift traffic around on, as they function as one giant roundabout.

Diamond interchanges with roundabouts are much, much safer than ones without them, especially if there are sightline issues. Instead of someone getting T-boned at speed, the cars are all going slower and going in the same direction when they make contact. More bumper tag, but very little injury or death.

On the DDIs, the throughput capacity is constrained by the intersections on the crossroads on either side of the DDI. Also, they are much easier to operate signals on. There are only two phases instead of four or more to line up.

That's what the British thought in the late 1700's.

No, the British were marching into battle with bright red coats, playing drums and blaring horns.

They were sitting ducks.

I hate those.

Pretty sure my city is a test area for weird exits. We have 6, one is the diverging diamond, one is an overpass SPUI, one is an underpass SPUI, 1 is book ended by a pair of traffic circles, and the other two are so close together that they have over lapping on and off ramps where you have to cross three lanes in short order, and one of those is also a SPUI. :-[

The British were better trained than the French conscripts and could fire four times a minute to about three for the French.  Muskets are only accurate inside about 70 yards or so.  The idea was to mass fire and repeat, few opponents could stand that for long and then the British would "fix bayonets".  They were remarkably effective at battle.

You guys and your AR-15s aren't going to do a damn thing. They are the ones that have all the tanks and bombs and prisons.
Yup.

Don’t forget drones with hellfire missiles- which Obama normalized/set precedent of killing of US citizens without due process with. And he even justified/explained away that CRIME  by comparing what he did to the exact hypothetical you just mentioned- taking out a shooter in public.

History tells us there will be a revolution one day and the US government will fall. How or when it happens and what comes after is anyones guess.

Countries don't always end in revolution of course, as history shows.

And sometimes they morph into a different country with different rules and money etc. in the same place.

When MSNBC deigns to mention something of this ilk, I find it notable and interesting.
