I've never heard of Paso Robles but I can imagine a lot of people walking on grapes
Does toe jam ferment or leave any lingering bitter notes?

How long will it take to rebuild our fragile electric grid to handle the increased power needs? I've heard the argument that people will charge their cars at night, but during hot months, air conditioners, refrigerators and many other household appliances are still running. Adding millions of cars charging to that equation will tax the already outdated grid that much more.

It's not just the grid, we'd need a lot more power as well, some estimates are around a third more if everything is EV.  Now, it's coming slowly, so there is time.

Without nuclear as a credible option, it's going to be natural gas for the most part.  For some reason, I read that solar doesn't work well at night.  But this is really a long term transition from ICE to EV, very long term, decades, it's not as if EVs are going to save us from the Saudis and OPECs of the world.

This is why we need a realistic outline of a PLAN, not just waving hands in the air.  There is so much political and ignorance in this, reality is really suffering.  One side wants to drill baby drill and the other side wants W&S and EVs tomorrow.

You obviously have never been on or even near an actual farm. They are used only a couple of times per year, but when they are, it is non stop for a couple of weeks as there is a limited window for harvest before suffering substantial losses due to rot, weather or any number of other factors. Having to charge your tractor or combine for an hour or so every couple of hours would render that piece of equipment useless.
This reminds me - my uncle is selling the family farm. He wanted me to farm it, but yeah, I hate combines. Luckily he found a nonprofit that will basically keep it as a preserve or something. Stands to clear almost 2 million bucks, which is something, because he can't remember which bank he has accounts in half the time.

Terry Hoague has a winery there.  He was an AA at UGA and posted a 3.93 GPA in genetics during his time as a student, played for the Eagles in the League for a while.  Really nice guy.
Just looked it up... Guess we drove right past it on the way to Ecluse, where we've been before a few years ago, and which has some fabulous wine.

Trump wasn't made to look like anything. Trump kept things transactional. He didn't purposely try to piss off and alienate the leader of the Sauids. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Trump bragged about providing political cover for MbS and shielding him from blowback in US. Trump literally did not even care. Why?
Well, if you follow the rest of what you said, Trump was probably happy that he got sawed up, because he wanted to write not nice things about Trump.

In his narcissistic brain, anyone who says something bad about him DESERVES to be sawed up. This time, for once, he actually got his wish.

It was in our local paper months ago.
I tried to double check, and I can find nothing but denials and articles that it was false.

Which is not to say that it’s 100% false, because frankly we can’t ever really know anything. But I would imagine that someone would have checked the property records and counter fact checked the fact check in the 2 1/2 months since it was sold.

I think it was the most pathetic we have ever looked on a worldwide stage. The Saudis just sawed up an American journalist, and our president just had to take it. If there was ever a sign of the west's decline, that was it. Like I said, we have to give ourselves therapy talks about how he wasn't really, truly American so that we don't feel so bad about it and can move past. They weren't laughing at us, they were laughing with us. Boo-urns!
LMAO. No, the most pathetic we have ever looked on the worldwide stage is right now.

Just because you keep saying the guy was an American journalist, does not make it true. He was not an American. Period. Had to just take it? Trump rightfully did not care about the Saudis killing one of their own.

Give it a rest already.

I'm not sure what the US could do about Kashoggi beyond some harsh language.  Fortunately, we have reduced our dependence on SA oil by a good bit, though obviously their impact on global production remains enormous.  In "normal times", they would be considered an enemy, but the enemy of my enemy ...

They have a larger air force than any European country except Russia.  They seem to have a working relationship with Israel for the above reason.

whether the guy is called an "American" or not seems irrelevant to me, he was not a citizen, he did work here for a while and was educated here.
What is this nonsense? They have never been considered an enemy, and never will be so long as this is the current world order. They have been a strong ally of the US for oh- 70+ years. And that's not changing any time soon.

They have a larger air force than any European country because: they buy a f**kton of aircraft and advanced weapons systems from US defense contractors. Saudis have more than just a working relationship with Israel, they have been growing ever closer for the last couple decades, and it has nothing to do with the amount of air planes in their air force. Israel and Saudis are both very strong strong allies of the US for one. And two both countries intelligence services collaborate because: Iran- Israel and Saudis share a mortal enemy in common: Iran and both countries are also becoming increasingly hostile with Turkey.

The guy wasn't an American. It's complete nonsense to try and portray him as such. LUDICROUS really. He comes from a very prominent, extremely wealthy, dynastic family in Saudi Arabia. He was born, raised, lived majority of his life there. He lived in America for the last year of his life and worked for the Washington Post as a freelance/contract writer and suddenly he's an American. :043:

Japanese Admiral Yamamoto was educated and live in America for a while, yet he planned and executed the attack on Pearl Harbor and was later killed after his plane was shot down in the South Pacific. Perhaps because he lived in America for a while, by your reasoning, we should not have had him killed.

Osama Bin Laden was educated and lived in UK for awhile when he went to Oxford. He's British now. According to Max.

Hey I studied in Oxford too. No doubt, if the crown prince had me sawed up people would be going on that I was from England and no true American. Realpolitik.
