Israel has invaded the territory of other countries, specifically in 1967, the attempted to strike preemptively.  One can of course attempt to justify their strikes at Egypt in particular, but they did start the war.

Israel did strike first after Egypt closed the straits of Tiran to Israeli ships and massed troops along the border so the question of who started the war is up for debate

Israel has taken many aggressive actions in the past but only to defend its country not to take over another country

One thing they have made very clear is they wont just stand by and allow another country to place Israel in danger

Today most neighboring countries realize this and leave them alone which is all Israel wants

The territory Israel claims has expanded quite a bit over the years.

Germany to buy US-made F-35s to replace aging bombers - ABC News (go.com)

BERLIN -- Germany said Monday that it will replace some of its aging Tornado bomber jets with U.S.-made F-35A Lightning II aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Announcing the decision, Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said Germany also will upgrade its Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets for electronic warfare — a capability that's also currently fulfilled by the Tornado jets. The Eurofighter will be replaced from 2040 with the Future Combat Air System, or FCAS, that's being jointly developed with France and Spain, she said.

I don't think they need F-35s to deploy nuclear weapons, it merely is capable of that.

my sarcastic point is why did the article go to the trouble to say the planes were able to carry nuclear weapons when Germany doesnt have any

kinda hyped up the story using a false narrative

A President can obviously take steps to INFLUENCE gas prices, without question, but he can't dial up any number he wants.

OPEC also can influence oil prices obviously, and they attempt to do so.  People look for simple solutions, anything complicated wont' fly in politics.
OPEC produces 40% of the worlds oil and 60% of all worlds oil exports. So by default they'll have the most influence over price.

Need the Saudis on your side if you want to try to drive the price up or down. Saudis refuse to even talk to the current guy. They did what the old guy told them to every now and then. New guy can't even get them on the phone. Embarrassing.
