NFL Draft 2022: Todd McShay reveals top five running back prospects (247sports.com)

It's a list, so whatever, but it's amusing to me he has Cook at No. 3 when he didn't start at UGA.

I thought Cook was a good RB but not as good as Michel or Chubb (who I thought was terrific).  Zamir White could be a better NFl back than Cook, don't know.
Cook's ability as a pass catcher/WR is pretty damn awesome. I think NFL looks for that now more than ever. Plus- he doesn't have a lot of miles on his body. I think NFL also looks at that nowadays too with RB's. They platoon guys- the era of the dominant #1 RB who gets all the carries is nearly over.

White is bigger, more physical- but he has a lot of mileage on those knees. Hasn't he had like 3 ACL's already? Not a great formula for a guy that will last in the NFL.

Chicago might be the most corrupt city, but I'm willing to bet Louisiana has Illinois beat as a state.  At least, on a per capita basis.
You might be right. I do remember former Illinois governor Blagojevich did just go to federal prison on corruption charges not that long ago.

Hmmmm I could be wrong, then.

But man it's tough for me to imagine a more corrupt state than Louisiana.  They've really raised it to an art form.  I can't help but be impressed by it.

Someone recommended the show "Billionaires" and I started watching.  The nice thing is they have two actors I like.  The actual business parts are quite muddled, to me anyway, they probably could have done a better job with an actual financial consultant helping the writers on things like how hedge funds operate and what short sales and insider trading actually are, but I don't expect much accuracy from "Hwood".  I'd give the show a B overall.

I'm the guy who spoils movies by noting inaccuracies in them.  Ha.
true story, had a family friend who lived right next door to the brother of maybe the largest hedge fund guy on Wall Street. his brothers firm charged the highest fees (3 pts) and percentage of profits (50%) of any hedge fund on wall street, and his returns to his clients were 30%+ yearly- he started the fund with just $20 million and wound up becoming a billionaire - and in their final 7 years of trades they were only down 2 months- in 7 years. needless to say he was investigated by the feds in the biggest insider trading case in history. turns out those returns were to good to be true.

according to this, we're all wrong. Wyoming is the most corrupt state per capita in the US.

A reason traditional mutual funds have lost favor is they don't beat market averages consistently, or even match them.  There is a reason for this.

I used to invest in Janus Funds, they did a pretty good job overall and I liked their approach, but I got out years ago, I'd guess they still do "OK".

I sometimes wonder how folks can spend a ton of money making a show and not hire some technical expert to help the writers with some of the technical details.  Breaking Bad had an odd chemistry thing in year one that they seemed to fix later on.

could be a budget thing. often times early on in shows they try to keep budget down, bc most tv shows fail. I think the studios and production companies often have no idea what’s going to be a hit.

Hiring technical advisers and experts to help them make every episode could get a bit expensive.

Breaking Bad become a huge smash hit, and they probably got more money for the budget.

Illinois Democrat Michael Madigan indicted on federal racketeering, bribery charges | Fox News
thinking about this more, am I the only one who thinks it’s nuts that Hunter Biden can get a board seat for $83,000/month from a Ukrainian energy company while Ukraine was effectively a US colony and his father- the VP of the US was put in charge by Obama as the head of Ukraine policy?

Or that VP Dick Cheney can push the Bush administration to hand out massive no bid contracts to Halliburton- the company he used to be CEO of for many years before coming back into politics.

Or that lawmakers are allowed to pass legislation that they know will affect markets and then act on that information before hand (hi Nancy P!).

Or that Barack Obama can bailout Wall Street and then after his term is up, can go give hour long speeches to Wall Street firms for $700k a pop. It’s amazing to me this bribe after the fact honor system holds up.

Or the donations to the Clinton foundation while Hilary was Secretary of State.

All clearly unethical and corruption in my mind. Both parties are covered in filth.

Speaking Fees for Former Presidents - List and Details (thoughtco.com)

Former President Bill Clinton has made the most of any modern president on the speaking circuit. He gives dozens of speeches a year and each brings in between $250,000 and $500,000 per engagement, according to published reports. He also earned $750,000 for a single speech in Hong Kong in 2011.
In the decade or so after Clinton left office, from 2001 through 2012, he made at least $104 million in speaking fees, according to an analysis by The Washington Post.
Clinton makes no bones about why he charges so much.
“I gotta pay our bills,” he told NBC News.
