was a good game. i listened to some on my way home. seemed to be a pitchers duel at the time, and later half of game stats suggest it was all game. the horns dude was hitting tight spots in the corners its sounded like from radio.

bama went 0-10 with runners in score position. can't do that against most teams and expect to win, much less an omaha contender like horns.

here's to a good g2 and 3, and maybe split those. cheers:singing:
Yeah definitely a pitcher's duel for much of the game.  When the only score of the game comes unearned on a wild pitch, you know the game was tight.

Weather today should be especially foul so probably almost anything can happen.

That's a term i haven't heard in a long while
Hopefully, motivation for Germany to really change its energy policies
Maybe even the US would as well
Going with what is practical/obtainable rather than that which has proved problematic. At least at this point in time

Putin now needs a Quisling.
You've been watching David Letterman reruns on YT?

w had an entire cartoon tv show dedicated to poke fun at his gaffs. lil' bush. was actually fairly funny, if i remember correct.

3 of the last 4 have had several instances of speaking gaffs. obama, as much as i might disagree with him, was very well spoken and i don't remember any major ones from him.
Obama had his flubs as well, which is kind of my point here-- we rarely heard about them. They weren't as noticeable as what we saw with W and nothing at all like the above blabbery by our VP, but there were always the comments from his fiercest opposition about him being the best "teleprompter president" ever and they'd go out of their way to note his gaffes every time he had to go off-script.  But since the MSM declined to roast him for it, it would die quickly each and every time.

they had it coming
they earned it

I'm not sure what you mean by this?  If you're saying W and Quayle had the ridicule and mockery coming to them, then that's fine.  But that means Biden and Harris should have it coming equally, and yet the mediots treat them with kid gloves.  I'm just pointing out the double standard applied.

I don't watch Letterman at all.  I was just idly thinking that Putin could "declare victory" and claim some Ukrainian with the unlikely name of Honus Quisling was now President of the country.

I think he needs partial control of Kyiv first though, and for the current guy to be captured, leave the country, or "disappear".

Sad but not surprising.  When Russia behaves dangerously, Russians are in almost as much danger as anyone else.

This can't be stated enough. Russians expend their population like no other nation in history. Either by the over 20 millions citizens killed during Stalin's reign, including my Great Grandmother dying in a labor camp outside of Murmansk. The countless millions ending up in the gulag system. The millions of Ukrainians starved to death by famine. Stalin's extermination of the peasant Kulak class. The millions of sons killed in endless wars. Everybody loses under Russian rule.

Look at what went on with this Russian Soldier below. He thinks his unit is embarking on a few exercises and next thing he knows he's ordered to invade by a psychopath with too much power. Let's remember the thousands of Russian sons who will needlessly die.

(The below account - @antiputler_news - is a steady stream of raw war footage. The tanks, transporters, and bodies of Russian Soldiers are really starting to pile up.)

I like it
hope its true
I don't really believe their current claims of 3500+ Russian casualties, but there's tons of video out there of large columns of Russian armored divisions blown up and sitting in ruin.  Russia is sustaining heavy losses, there's no doubt about that.

Sadly it can't last and I fear what will be done to civilians, the angrier that disgusting murderous baby Putin becomes.

3,500 casualties sounds to me like a rational estimate after three days plus of fairly intense combat involving over 100,000 troops.  If Ukraine brought down a transport aircraft with 88 paratroopers on board ...

A tank has a crew of 4-5.  An APC would have 10-15 on board.

that's the thing with the red cross, if it's true we'll know soon enough.

Presuming they attacked with say 60,000 combat troops and have been engaged for three days now, and on the offensive so they can't really "dig in", they are exposed and apt to come under fire from those who were dug in .... 3,500 is not beyond the realm.  Ukraine would have their entire military in the field, plus some civilians, many no doubt with limited training and gear, but still, they could match the Russian numbers pretty easily.  Russian forces would have near superiority in the air and in artillery.

Morale?  No question on which side that would lie.

Russians have not established air superiority, in fact far from it.  That's what has been most puzzling to western military analysts.
