If a person gets their "facts" from a TV show host or personality, there isn't much to be done.  There was a HOPE that the vaccine could eliminate COVID amidst many warnings about variants, but "they" pushed the vaccine hard without the caveats being expressed very often.  Now we know better.

It should be mentioned that at the time (March 2021), the data was showing that the vaccine was ~95% effective at preventing symptomatic illness. This was before Delta (possible R0 of ~7) and Omicron (possible R0 of ~10).

The vaccine knocked the crap out of previous variants. There wasn't significant transmission within vaccinated people until later. I think that was twofold... One, immunity from infection waned as the antibody levels produced in response to the vaccine faded from the immune system after the second shot. Second, Delta appeared and was transmissible enough that it could overcome those antibody levels easily.
preventing symptomatic illness is changing the goalposts. Not what we are talking about here, and that's not what she stated. She stated the vaccines will STOP infection and stop the spread - that a vaccinated person CANNOT get infected and be a host and spread the virus - effectively eradicating the disease. Which was never even close to being true, even then.

and you bring up a great point. what is "misinformation" today can wind up being FACT tomorrow. Science is constantly evolving, things are constantly being discovered, new data is constantly emerging. We can't have so much hubris as to state things as fact - when the reality is - we just don't know. Have to be able to admit that we don't know what we don't know. Which to me- is another reason why censorship is god awful. Just look at examples in history - Galileo was sentenced to life in prison merely for challenging the FACT of that day and claiming that the Earth orbits the Sun. He was peddling "misinformation" and was censored and punished for it. Welp, turns out he was right. There are so many awful examples of this where governments censored, silenced, shut people up - burned books, people were sent to prison, or even killed throughout history. Censorship leads nowhere but to tyranny.

This is what bothers me the most about how the White House is handling the virus.  Its like they have not heard of omicron when in fact over 95% of the new cases is omicron.  So when they keep having various mandates and stressing vaccinations they are way behind science and what the real strategy should be.  Media doesnt help any also

i'd ask where are you seeing any reputable source suggesting masks are ineffective and/or harmful. because as far as i can tell, virtually all respected medical websites are suggesting to wear one.

as for the idiots wearing masks 24/7, agreed. they're just as dumb, but on the other side. they hear "masks work" and don't read further, where it says in certain situations, etc. i think my favorite i've seen was a dude with a gator on, mask on top, face shield on as well... in his own car, by himself. pretty sure he just came back from chernobyl or something.

Disney casts a latin woman as Snow White in a live action remake of snow white and the 7 dwarves. Not that I give a shit - latin women are hotter anyway-  whatever - but it's suppose to be fairly tale about a German princess - what really makes me crack up is Peter Dinklage - a very famous actor with dwarfism - who made tens of millions of dollars playing....a dwarf - on HBO's Game of Thrones - goes on a podcast and criticizes Disney for casting 7 actors with dwarfism to play the 7 dwarves - and now suddenly Disney is saying they are rethinking the roles and 'taking a different approach' with Snow White's 7 dwarves and will been consulting with members of the dwarfism community. Huh? We really do live in a clown world.

Who made Peter Dinklage king of the dwarves? Apparently he feels like he's the only actor with dwarfism that should work in Hollywood lol. Would be crazy if his little comments on some podcast actually took 7 high-paying jobs away from 7 actors with dwarfism. Not exactly like these kinda roles in a major big budget Hollywood feature that Disney is going to promote the living shit out of come along that often for them. Guarantee every single one of them would've been getting a payday of at least $500k for being in the movie. Who knows, even more. This will be a $150+ million budget film is my guess.

Dinklage just trying to protect his clear cut spot as the go to dwarf in Hollywood. He don't want no one even encroaching on his turf.

I'm down for that if the latin woman is half-naked most of the film and Dinklage gets to play his Tyrion Lannister character. I'd watch that shit.

He also played an intentional dwarf character in Elf.  He also played an ironically giant intentional dwarf character in Avengers.

He also played Bolivar Trask in the X-Men reboot movies, but that role was not originally a dwarf in the comic book and I thought it was cool that they cast him because his height had no bearing on the character itself so why not?

He’s a fantastic actor. Dude is one of my favorites. Just doesn’t make sense to me what his beef is with Snow White or why Disney immediately released a statement and are overreacting to something one really famous guy said on a podcast.

Well in a porn she’d be fully naked not half and there probably wouldn’t be any dwarfs around.
