I'm concerned.
it's mostly people with money moving here. they like not paying taxes. and they like freedom. we aight.

every where that is a super-majority democratic controlled city or state just automatically winds up becoming a shit-hole. it's inevitable. that's why these people are escaping to florida.

No it's BBQ-- they're smoked over post oak, and seared.  And they have a limited quantity, they sell out early.
Ahh, that makes sense then. I figured the logistics would be screwy, but if it's limited quantity until running out, I would agree.

I mean, more people change anything. You changed it just a bit.

Now, I know the subtext might be purely along a red-blue axis, and who knows is that changes? People in power often have an interest in insulating themselves from wills of their constituents, and maybe you have some folks like that.

Doubtful.  Texas tips more toward the blue with every passing year.  Florida is on a similar trajectory for similar reasons.

age old question do elected officials have a higher duty to reflect voters views or their own and they are not always the same

as one politician said my state is split right down the middle on this the people are for it and Im against it

I was more referring to the views on mechanisms to keep themselves in charge.

Is this a joke?  I haven't read something this wrong in quite awhile.

Perhaps, but based on the last few election cycles, Florida is a red state unless and until proven otherwise.

Uhhh....what?

In the last 6 presidential elections, FL has voted with the winner 5 times.  The only exception was 2020.
That means FL tends to lean towards the better (as in likely to win) candidate, regardless of party.

This fantasy that FL is red, the end, is really bizarre.

The Republican party has been in control of the Florida Governor and both houses for the last 23 years
