Does Chicago even count? It's a dead city after all. Might as well talk about the Aztecs inventing chili.
Total shithole. But then it's not in south Florida, so that's obvious.

I'm just glad that we got the good kind of Chicago pizza, and not the more famous variety.

If Massey's is an accurate representation of what Chicago is cooking up, then I'd say we improved on it bigly over the years with Tommy's, Joseph's, etc.

As I've said, I have never had Columbus pizza, so I can't compare.

Might be able to try one at that SoCal place that serves up that Cincinnati, er, Chicago Chili.

the shape of the pieces that are cut  .... is that really a style or anything of substance?

round pizza, rectangular, square, triangle shaped  pizza - who cares?
You wouldn't think so, but my daughter gets all mad when we don't get "triangle pizza" even though every place around here besides Pizza Hut serves square cut pizza.

Wow.  Diverse.

Certainly more diverse than the Navajo reservation.

Little police presence in rural areas. Maybe defund the police are right?

Those of us in rural areas are well armed and look out for each other. Violent gangs would not last long here.

The general concept that some unarmed folks could handle some 911 and other calls makes sense to me, IFF the dispatcher can tell the difference.  Right now, police are handling things like traffic accidents, which could be handled by traffic cops, like meter maids in effect.  Would that be ten percent of a force?  Probably more like 2-3%.

The main issue I see is not as much funding as staffing, a lot of city PDs are understaffed because they can't find and train recruits fast enough for some obvious reasons.

Were I on a Big City PD, I'd be looking for a job in the 'burbs.

And obviously folks who live in the country have "less need" for police presence, they have shovels or ditch diggers at minimum.  That is a dumb comparison.

Uh...aren't violent gangs well armed and looking out for each other? That's pretty much the literal definition of a gang.

I mean...maybe. Letting people work out there own differences without government regulation is underrated. Well, it's highly rated until you frame it as a question about "stopping crime" and then everyone wants as much regulation as possible, at least for other people.
