So even that source acknowledges that crime fell, but complains that it doesn't separate all different crimes into separate categories. Well, as I said, homicides rose (and shootings) though crime overall did not. So even that source agrees with me, and it is important to acknowledge. If "soft on crime" policies are to blame, why wouldn't all crimes rise? It's the main problem with the "touch on crime" crowd, which generally just looks to whatever to justify harsh penalties and police state style policies.
Violent crimes have increased substantially( if you include rape and robbery and violent crimes)

property crimes which are the most frequent have gone down clearly attributed to the lockdowns and pandemic. But violent crimes are clearly up and that trend is absolutely starkly different in larger cities versus rural areas.

defund the police movement clearly are having an Substantial negative impact on crime rates. That is what those numbers tell us.

"Cut in squares" does not define a style of pizza.

As I've said, I don't know if Columbus-style is similar to Chicago-style thin crust. I've never had Columbus-style pizza. I'm claiming ignorance on that front.

But *IF* there are significant style differences between Columbus pizza and Chicago-style thin crust, then you can't say that Chicago-style thin crust isn't a unique style.
Cut in squares, edge to edge, thin crust, with no edge crust. Nobody outside of Chicago is going to picture that upon hearing the term "Chicago style pizza" because that term means something completely different in the American vernacular.
I mean it is cool that Columbus style is widely available and popular in Chicago. You can probably find NY style, Detroit style and even California style rather easily in Chicago as well, but that doesn't make them yours.

Wow, if I was new here and read the last 4 pages of this, I'd probably never return.  (yes, I realize some of you would celebrate that)

That is a "Style"???

Okay, everything from the Midwest belongs to Chicago. Why not.

Ok, simple Google image search tells a story.

Critical factor of Chicago thin crust is cheese on top of toppings. Columbus appears to be toppings above cheese.

That seems more important than the shape it's cut into, right?

Never cared for what is typically referred to as Chicago style or deep dish pizza.

I do like this- and it is quite unique:

The food discussion is interesting. How things get popular and spread is interesting. The Cali portions are almost quaint now - you can't swing a cat without finding a fish taco or "BBQ Chikcen Pizza." Have to search to find really new things that are actually difficult to find somewhere else. Columbus does have a very large Somali population - I suppose suqaar might qualify.
