The University of Georgia Football Vault (College Vault) by Loran Smith: new (2007) | GoldenWavesOfBooks (abebooks.com)

How 'Bout Them Dawgs? In the University of Georgia Football Vault™, Bulldog radio network announcer Loran Smith explores the prolific 115 year of history of his beloved Dawgs. With exhilarating stories, remarkable images, and memorabilia for UGA's diverse, historic archives, Smith's approach to the Bulldog story demonstrates his deep appreciation of the sports program that has been an integral part of his life for over 40 years. The University of Georgia Football Vault ™ provides fans with their own personal scrapbook bursting with dozens of rarely seen reproduction memorabilia from Georgia's glory days. An 1894 poster advertising of UGA's earliest games, a Georgia-Yale program postcard from Sanford Stadium's 1929 dedicatory game, a crimson-and-black, felt stadium pennant from the 1960's, a sheaf of season tickets from the 1980 National Championship year, and a bumper sticker celebrating the 2002 SEC Championship - all this and much more are waiting to be discovered in the pages of the University of Georgia Football Vault ™. Illustrated; Hardcover

I have this one.  $77 is excessive though.  Most can be found on ebay for less than $20.

Well, most of the smoking laws exist to protect non-smokers from the effects of smoking.  But otherwise, I agree to the extent that I don't need laws to protect me from myself (others that know me may think differently).  But to abolish those laws, you would also have to find a way to prevent frivolous lawsuits that will inevitably come up because people do not accept liability for their own actions.
Yeah, I wasn't commenting on the advisability of those laws or the motivations behind them.  I was just attempting to rebut OAM's assertion that only conservatives try to control the behavior of others.

Ok, I feel like I'm being trolled. Nobody can be this crazy/ignorant/dumb. Right?
You're right.  I'm just making shit up.  Not supported by the facts at all.

With the Carlin quote I believe that you have stumbled across the reason that Fro is such a devoted little foot soldier for Biden, Pelosi, et al. It makes him feel like he is part of the group of people that are calling the shots, instead of just a peon. That way he is one of the oppressors, not one of the oppressed.

Some people are willing to be told what to think and when to think it, in order to improve their perceived lot in life.
For the umpteenth time, I'm sorry that I'm not the far-left caricature that you imagine me to be.  Get over yourself and move the fuck on.

BTW, were you not aware of the DHS report back in 2009 in the Tea Party days that basically labeled anyone who liked small government as potential domestic terrorist?

One of my fellow bloggers at The Liberty Papers broke the story and got TONS of activity for our site that day... A site that normally cost about $0.50 per day in hosting fees hit about $50 in two days...

This stuff didn't just start after Jan 6...

I'm not sure there is a group not monitored by someone in the government. Black people who identified as being black were being watched by the FBI as recently as 2020.

I have no idea what that even means, but I'll take your word for it.

Someone mentioned George Carlin up thread.  This reminded me of his bit...

"Now listen, as long as we’re discussing minorities, I’d like to mention something about language.

There are a couple of terms being used a lot these days by guilty white liberals. First one is “happens to be”... “He happens to be black. I have a friend who happens to be black.” Like it’s a fucking accident you know?

Happens to be black?
“Yes, he happens to be black.”
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he had two black parents?
“Oh yes, yes he did. Yes, that’s right.”

Right, and they fucked?
“Oh indeed they did... indeed they did.”

So where does the surprise part come in? I should think it would be more unusual if he just happened to be Scandinavian!

And the other term is “openly.” “Openly gay.” They say “he’s openly gay.” But that’s the only minority they use that for. You know, you wouldn’t say someone was “openly black.” ... well maybe James Brown... or Louis Farrakhan; Louis Farrakhan is openly black. Colin Powell is not openly black, Colin Powell is openly white; he just happens to be black."
