This is our pool, in its native state (unoccupied) as I'm awaiting the elevator.  It's not fancy like utee's, but it's adequate for me.  It's above the entrance drive.  I'm headed down soon to the gym and then the pool.  Folks in condos think they want a gym, a pool, a lounge, a deck, and then rarely do they get used.

A pool that you don't have to maintain yourself, is a great kind of pool to have.

When my son graduated Parris Island, I had a BBq basket delivered and we drove out back to eat it. In no time, the sand fleas started after us.  It was miserable.  He was standing and eating and laughing at us.  He said he was used to them.  I could barely eat with needing to whack my legs.  They hurt.

We get some skeeters, but nothing like those y'all have in Florida.  Or even Houston.

This is our setup, thank goodness no need for the backyard net-tent.

Beautiful!  Love it. And the lighting too

Just back from some swimming.  I'm not a good swimmer, but I think it's good for me.  Or something.

Going to Atmosphere tonight, our eighth.  Tempus fugit.

Finally got reservations at Bacchanalia next week sorted out, I hear it's good.

I don't think there are any criminal charges there so would be surprised if Cuomo resigns or is removed by the legislature.  Cuomo's defense and any settlements will be paid for with NY taxpayer funds.
Welp, he resigned.

They're called gnats.  If you're going to have a silly name for them, it might as well be 'hear you flying into my ear and laying 70,000 eggses'.
.
And you can have the beaches in SoCal - F that noise.  Sand fleas and freezing-ass water makes for a garbage time.  In all my years growing up in FL, I never once faced sand fleas and the Gulf Stream always kept the water temps nice.

it annoys me that people call them no-see-ums, but even with my poor eye sight, I can see um

Bugs around here go the other way. They are so big that they tip their cap and say hello to you when you pass them on the street. Crickets, grasshoppers, praying manti, scorpions...

Exactly. One would think a Florida native would get this. To combat them, I use the stuff I posted above and we also had a combination of Florida Glass and No See Um Screen put on when we moved here.

All about No-See-Ums in the south - they are very difficult to see (noseeums.com)
