It's pretty easy to ignore someone's posts, or make fun of them at times, which can be added value.

See, you're wrong.
Aside from the snarkly joke post, I don't think any of us posts something to illicit a response.  We post to share how we think or feel.  Just as I do.
If I have a larger goal, I suppose it would be to continue to shed light on irrational beliefs in the hope that someday otherwise rational adults will see them as such.
It's not my fault if it doesn't happen, is it?
.
Or are you saying it's a lost cause and that a failure to acknowledge that is an asshole move.  I disagree with that, if so.
Nah, I’m not wrong. You had a goal to get a reaction and you accomplished it. Hell, I knowingly and purposely helped you accomplish it. But that’s fine. I accept it.  It’s a game people have played on here with you for years. I’m sure today won’t be the last time.

Nothing wrong about being arrogant, as long as you are a Texan, of course.
Only if you are wearing a 10 gallon hat. Then you kind of have to be

See, when you're telling me my own mind and suggesting my goal was to illicit a reaction when I know that it wasn't - you're wrong.

To imagine there is ANY chance some posts on a message board will either convert a person to a religious belief, OR away from said religious belief, is illogical.

To imagine it is somehow desirable to make the attempt is illogical.

To imagine some attempt it in order to demonstrate some sort of superiority is however very logical, and typical.

The Egg Lobby says so.
This post is literally just "I disagree with you, so you're wrong" and "I agree with myself, so I'm right."
Thanks for the contribution.

Just FYI, since you did it  twice, "illicit" means illegal, the word you want here is "elicit".

Homonyms, they sound the same, but spelled differently.  John Coffe, Ma'am.

I didn't state anything in disagreement with anyone else.  I stated an opinion, obviously.  And my opinion could be wrong, perhaps someone COULD post something that converts a religious belief from A to Z, it probably has happened at some point in life.

One can argue other point based on logic, experience, fact, etc., but religious belief, or lack thereof, is simple a belief set.  I'd guess if we were born in Pakistan, most of us would be Muslims, at least outwardly.

Thanks for the tangent.  If I chose to do the same, it would be a never-ending bitch-fest and my job would never be done.

It's not even necessarily about religious beliefs, it's about irrational thinking.  And giving the irrational thinking a special pass.  And saying it shouldn't be discussed (because it's inevitably failing every test, if religion).

I'm told here that it's no hope and a waste of time, yet more and more people are losing their religion.  Trust me, it's not often of their own accord.  Its from conversations and genuine questions and actually answering questions without being afraid or unwilling to explore one's own beliefs.
.
The pushback I get here is telling.
One thing is for certain:  an echo chamber HATES being questioned.
