Daughter’s LL Softball Team made state’s. That’s great and I’m excited for her.

The problem is they are turning a 6 team tournament into a 5 day marathon. They could have this thing knocked out in a weekend but they are stretching it out. There are some kids on our team who absolutely can’t afford to stay in a hotel and eat out that long. It’s ridiculous.

A co-worker's daughters were in a softball tourney in Utah that wrapped up after midnight.  Idk if that's a good plan.

It’s d-baggery to mock others for their religious beliefs. I mean, of course you know that but for some reason you like to continue to play a game on here.

You make comments trying to get a reaction, you get the reaction, and then act wide eyed shocked when it happens.  You made the comment about Richt knowing there are people on here who share Richt’s beliefs. You made the comment to get a reaction from them.  You know it, I know it, and everyone on here knows it.

When people think less of you as a person it’s for stuff like that.  But, again, you already knew that.
See, you're wrong.
Aside from the snarkly joke post, I don't think any of us posts something to illicit a response.  We post to share how we think or feel.  Just as I do.
If I have a larger goal, I suppose it would be to continue to shed light on irrational beliefs in the hope that someday otherwise rational adults will see them as such.
It's not my fault if it doesn't happen, is it?
.
Or are you saying it's a lost cause and that a failure to acknowledge that is an asshole move.  I disagree with that, if so.

My comment stands. Lord, trying to pull me into a debate about beliefs I don't even hold.
I guess I don't see the value in playing along with other people's irrational delusions.
How is humoring them a plus?

It's important for some people, I think, to show their intellectual superiority to strangers.

One way to attempt this of course is to ridicule their beliefs.

But, hey, if your ego needs that type of support on an anonymous message board, I'm all for it.

I posted that the 2nd half of a tweet made by a person who will never read my comment was gross.

Never have I suggested someone is smarter when they don't believe in religion/god and less smart when they do.  Never have I suggested that someone becomes smarter by stopping that kind of belief.
I do note that in 2,000 years, there is zero evidence of any type of god.  Faith is what people use when they don't have a justifiable reason to trust/believe/know something.
You could believe any absurdity based on faith.
Thus, it's an irrational belief.
I simply find it odd that adults would willfully hold such an irrational belief.
.
Stop pretending I'm some arrogant ass-hat because of this.  I'm certainly a little arrogant, but it's for far different reasons.

To imagine there is ANY chance some posts on a message board will either convert a person to a religious belief, OR away from said religious belief, is illogical.

To imagine it is somehow desirable to make the attempt is illogical.

To imagine some attempt it in order to demonstrate some sort of superiority is however very logical, and typical.

The Egg Lobby says so.

That's how you come across here. You say it's about Richt, but it's not. You targeted every believer, other than atheists.

With this post:

I'm a moron because I don't believe in your fantasy tale.  Now that's brilliant!

See?

I believe we are all friends here, no?

Because it's not unpleasant.

Being unpleasant all the time is, well, unpleasant. And if the point is, "I will be unpleasant enough, and people will eventually see I'm right" it's a bad approach on all sorts of levels.

I hate to tell you this, you are, in fact, being an arrogant ass-hat. (I don't really. Maybe if we keep saying it to you, an adult, you will finally see that it's true)

Nothing wrong about being arrogant, as long as you are a Texan, of course.
