It is impossible not to "look" at young females "dressed" alluringly.  That's probably a good thing.

I have managed to walk a couple miles a day now, with frequent stops.  When your ticker is not ticking properly, it really really slows you down.  I feel like an old man.

I'm ready to get this fixed, doctor's appt May 11, for review.
Good luck, CD.

As an aside, one of my good friends that I mentioned having left SoCal (he returned to Indianapolis) has had a rough couple of months. His wife left him, and days later he was in the hospital with a heart issue. Required atrial valve replacement. Open-heart surgery for him. And he's only 40...

He said that the run-up to that was really difficult. He was getting extraordinarily fatigued, just feeling terrible and didn't have a clue why, and it got so bad that when he got checked out they admitted him.

Well, a couple months have passed since the surgery, and he says he feels like a teenager again.

So hang on... Your procedure is MUCH less invasive and should have a much shorter recovery time... Hoping you're back to long walks in no time.

Yeah, my procedure is pretty simple really, fish a set of catheters up my femoral into the heart and cauterize the rim of the atrial valve.  I am very grateful to have this option, without it, I'd have aged 30 years.

Two Mafia hitmen are walking deep into a forest in the middle of the night.

One of them says to the other, "I gotta admit I'm scared out here".

When your heart is less efficient for whatever reason, your overall quality of life really declines, like becoming an old man "over night".  Take care of it, you depend on it, a lot.

It's not known what leads to flutter/fibrillation apparently, an electrical malfunction caused by ... unknown.

Another mass shooting in Chicago. These shooters really suck at shooting.

No arrests had been made. Police did not release a detailed description of the shooter or shooters.

Hmm anyone fancy a guess why?

Anyone have experience with WiFi light bulbs?

I have WiFi outlets that I absolutely love. Two of the lights in my living room are hooked up and can be turned on and off with an app. I use two more for the Christmas tree and outdoor Christmas lights during that season, which is also great. The tree can be turned on and off without having to go reach under it and plug/unplug, and the outdoor lights are on timers so it's all automated by the app. The outlets have been rock solid for a couple years of ownership.

However, the same isn't true for my WiFi light bulb that is used above my front door. I use that also with a timer so it can be on ~8 hours daily in the summer or >12 hours daily in the winter, depending on the sun. I can't remember turn the switch on and off regularly, so automation is great.

The problem is that the fixture above the front door is enclosed by glass and metal. The WiFi bulb, unlike the outlets, has all the electronics in its base where it plugs into the light socket and then has a 10W LED above it (equivalent lumens to 75W incandescent). I have trouble keeping these things alive more than 6 months or so. I suspect having the electronics plus LED in an enclosed environment is just cooking them to death. Because there is no outlet feeding them, I have to use the smart bulb as well--I have no convenient way to wire up a smart outlet.

They're not horribly expensive... ~$10 each last time I bought them. But that's not nothing, and having to go out there every 6 months on the ladder and replace the bulb is annoying.

So I'm wondering if anyone has messed around with these and found more reliable options? I'd much rather buy something better (even for more money) if it means not having to replace it often.

get the control out of the bulb and into the switch.
