A true MOPAR man then, it seems? :)

My grandfather loved Chryslers.  He loved the BIG luxury Chryslers, more specifically.  Whatever was the biggest Chrysler equivalent to the biggest Cadillac being made, that's what he'd drive.  Several years worth of Chrysler 5th Avenues, and then a bunch of other ones that I don't recall.  Always with the largest engine, too, of course.

On top of the rolling beer cans with 2-stroke engines, the only trucks he bought for most of his life were Dodges. Also, my parents bought Dodges in my lifetime. So I guess it might be said we're a Mopar famiily ;)

Of course her friend was an even tinier lady than she was, so I ended up helping them load it.

But surprisingly, that's the only time out of a few dozen that things went weird.

i used to play pranks on a guy at work.. one of my best friends ever, and a genuinely likeable guy... he never met anyone who wasn't his friend within 5 minutes of meeting.  he tried and tried to catch me in a good one but never did.

he drove quite a distance to work- almost 150miles round trip.  he didn't mind it, and he bought a small two door accord getting 60mpg or so to do it.  he wanted to take a bar table home with him and instead of driving his jeep, his big diesel truck, or his ram1500 (he had even more to choose from but that isn't the point) he drove the accord.

we flipped the front passenger seat forward and started prying that thing in there.  he decided to go to the other side to assist.  as soon as he was looking elsewhere i put a knee into the back of the folding seat and twist-pushed the thing into the tiny back seat... the seat had to remain forward- the catch: it had a sunroof and it was open.. I made sure and aimed for the open sunroof as I made this maneuver.... now in my defense i figured he'd see the part sticking out of the roof- but as it was and as i twisted it the thing rested completely inside.

he drove the truck the next day.

i asked him if he had any trouble getting the table out and he said "it's still in the damn thing... well... half of it anyway."... he just abandoned effort and drove the truck... the next evening he called frustrated saying he couldn't even fit in there enough to get to the screws to disassemble it in the car and take it out in parts... he was pretty mad.  I asked him about the sunroof and he didn't understand what I meant.  he figured it out the next day and was less than pleased when he did...

i'm real good at shoving big things in small places.  I don't mean that how some of y'all gonna take that.. i mean it in terms of embark... i've packed out all kinds of things from simple crates to sea-board containers, to load-out of payloads on wide body birds and have a gift for making it fit.

weird gift, huh?
