Ok 320, but you do realize that 94 and I are both electrical engineers, and what you're proposing is--to all known theories of radiated emissions--impossible.

I think it's in your head, buddy.
Definitely.

I really love how open-minded and non-judgmental folks on this message board are.

Sometimes folks are a bit put off by wide swaths of this land where they live.

(I’ve been to at least three notable cities in Florida and like them. My Orlando experience was not particularly great, but I have a buddy who’s from there and likes a lot of it. Most places are fine for a lot of folks)

I'll admit that my impression of Orlando would best be described as "soulless". I was there a couple times for work in the mid-oughts and kinda agree with Mdot. It was pretty much just chain restaurants as far as the eye could see. Bland little tourist trap.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's got a bunch of charm and you just need to know where to look. But... I had no clue where to look, and yet I find all that charm in tons of other cities I visit without having to dig deep.

IMHO Orlando is only a "thing" because of Disney, and as a result, that's its only "thing".

There are plenty of places where I don't want to live, but that doesn't mean I must designate them as shitholes.  Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks and all.

Downtown Orlando is actually kinda nice. But the suburbs and surrounding areas are a drag. And you’re 100% right, Disney put Orlando on the map. It wouldn’t be anywhere close to what it is if it wasn’t for Disney.

Where did you go, out of curiosity?

I found the French quarter to be fine. Kind of grungy and sticky. But the Bywater and the Garden District and some of the neighborhoods are actually quite nice.
I unintentional went right in the middle of Mardi Gras. Was catching a cruise and decided to visit New Orleans for a couple of days to see what it was all about.  Went to the French quarter. Had dinner (very good). Walked over to Bourbon street. Walked one block. Saw a person sliced with a knife. My Daughter-in-law got groped.  Got off at the next block.  Don't understand the appeal.

That's kind of like saying, I went to the Eiffel Tower on Bastille Day.  Paris sucks.

You're free to your own opinion, but you didn't really experience New Orleans.

By the way, the French Quarter is cool, especially when you're NOT there during Mardi Gras, but there's better food, better art, better culture, and even better music, at numerous places outside the Quarter.
