The University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are one step closer to joint accreditation following action by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents this afternoon.
At the meeting, the Board unanimously approved a motion granting the joint accreditation and delegating to NU President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., the authority to determine the final effective date of the new joint accreditation.
Joint accreditation means key institutional metrics such as enrollment, degrees awarded, faculty honors and research spending would be reported together. This unified reporting will immediately strengthen the university’s national rankings and reputation and create new opportunities for faculty and students. Joint accreditation will also align the University of Nebraska’s structure with that of its peers and create new opportunities for enhanced collaboration between the two campuses.

I can't help but envision this whole scenario/AAU etc as one long-ass 2nd-story skybridge from Lincoln to Omaha.  :57:

A 35.51-acre tract of farmland in Sioux County sold for a record $32,000 per acre, or $1.13 million, Monday. Jim Rothermich, vice president of Iowa Appraisal, said the sale represents the highest he has recorded in the state, breaking the previous high -- $30,000 per acre for a 73.19-acre parcel at a 2022 auction, also in Sioux County.

Vaccine beer?

He made beer that’s also a vaccine.

Essentially he modified saccharomyces cerevisiae, ale yeast, to produce a protein resembling the outer shell of the virus type they wanted to build immunity against. So it doesn't produce any actual virus and therefore can't infect anyone. But it triggers the immune system to start producing antibodies to the virus. It was first tested and proved effective at producing antibodies in mice.

Then, when he used it to ferment a beer, it ended up triggering the same response. He couldn't test it as part of his job, but he drank it himself and blood tests revealed the antibodies were being produced and climbing in his system.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - A plot of land in Northwest Iowa has set a new record for the most expensive land sale in the state’s history.

A 35.5-acre plot of land northwest of Orange City in Sioux County sold at auction December 1st for $32,000 per acre, for a total purchase price of $1.13 million.

That broke the previous state record of $30,000 an acre set back in 2022, also in Sioux County.

The winning bid was submitted by a neighboring landowner, who plans to farm corn and soybeans on the land.

30 acres up the road just sold for $10.5 Mil, and now they need to bring in 2-3 feet of fill across the whole site in order to make in buildable under current code. 360K cubic yards of dirt. That's 30K semis X $250/load. $7.5 Mil.

So you haven't shown yourself into 94's garage yet while down there and remove the cases of Live Oak Pilz as discussed? Think of his poor wife who has to carry all those presents, gifts and groceries in,out and around the vehicles wedged in there. Not impressed FF
