I'm not arguing, like I said, I think it's a shame

from what I know, the subsidies are gone, it stands on it's own

It would be nice if gasoline refined from crude would drop prices to the point ethanol couldn't compete and that corn went back to a source for food

I'm buying gasoline w/10% corn for around $2.65/gallon - I'd rather see it at $1.99

Nearly half of US cropland used to grow corn is dedicated to making ethanol.  Much of the rest goes to cattle feed.

Corn, beans, and wheat dominate US farming, and lobbying.

Yeah, when we were on the Midwest trip and my son just saw miles upon miles of corn fields he asked, "how can we eat this much corn?"

I had to educate him... We make ethanol out of the corn. We eat the things that eat the corn. We turn the corn into HFCS and it goes into a bunch of crap. 

Not a lot of what comes out of those fields ends up directly on our plates looking like this:

Butter and salt is good.  You can do lime and salt and, the way it activates your taste buds, tastes almost exactly the same.  Better even, IMO.

Not a lime guy, but I'll try lemon for sure.

For buttering, I spread it on bread and then roll the bread around the corn.
