GT UNC and UVA don't care about football either, if that's your criterion.

All but GT draw fans, but GT is in Atlanta which is a good place to be for a lot of reasons.

All the northern school fans would fill it for them.

Recruiting in NC, VA, Georgia and Florida... Nuff said.

GT five-year attendance average 39,223.  Last year 38,216.  Capacity is 51,913 so last year was ~74% full.

"Tries a bit" is probably an apt description.

The do well when they host Georgia, FSU, Clemson. The numbers are inflated there, I'm sure. They were decent last season.

UVA 2024 attendance 38,999.
UNC 2024 attendance 47,686.

These are not places I would describe as "draw some fans" or "care about football."

Oregon 2024 attendance 59,104
Washington 2024 attendance 68,865

GT is my sneaky good team this year.  I think they could finish 9-3ish.

But to be fair, Oregon and Washington both benefited from the B1G schedule last year.  Their 5-year averages are lower.

But still not UNC, UVA, or GT low.

Recruiting, and UVA and UNC would also benefit from northern B1G fans showing up.

UVA capacity is 60 K or so. UNC is 50K or so.

UNC does much better with its Stadiette than does UVA.

None of this refuting my point that they're no better than Oregon or Washington and that if your criterion is, as you state, "caring about football" then these places don't fit the bill.

It's totally AOK if you just "like them" better.  But that's all it is.

My original point was that USC and UCLA don't draw unless they are good, and even then UCLA has a problem.

I acknowledge Oregon and Warshington draw, but the additions were unnecessary and dumb for a lot of reasons.

My proposal makes so much more sense from an economic standpoint, it's not even up for debate. Two time zones is better than FOUR.

It doesn't make economic sense because nobody gives a shit about UNC, UVA, or GT football.  If anybody did, they'd already be part of the SEC or B1G.

THAT's the point.

ROAD TRIP!!

Now this I can support.  I've said since the 90s that the B12 should have added Hawaii and Tulane, and even our home games should be at their sites.
